So like what if Olruggio has confessed to Qifrey at some point but it made Qifrey feel so comforted and at peace to have his own feelings for him reciprocated that he had to erase his memory of it so that his Silverwood seed doesn't sprout?
What if it's already happened multiple times because, one way or the other, sooner or later, Olruggio can't help his feelings for Qifrey and always chooses to share them?
And what if, no matter how much he wishes he could, Qifrey can't stand the idea of parting with him, so, in such constant close proximity, one of them confessing eventually is inevitable, but Qifrey has to make sure he can't have what both him and his friend truly desire for fear of losing everything he's worked for?
