So, I remember on instagram I saw my friend post this fan photo of michael with this brunette chick and I was like, yeah thatâs cool and sheâs really lucky to meet him.Â
Then the second time I saw the photo, I mumbled to myself how she looked really familiar as a thought came to my head and instantly I got this notification on Twitter so I clicked on it. Normally, I had a gut feeling that this chick was just hella lucky that she met Mikey then I scrolled through twitter and saw the same girl with a different colored hair Michael and like before I thought she was lucky.Â
Not long after, this girl commented on the insta photo, saying, âIsnât she in that stalker group?â and immediately I was intrigued. A stalker group? We have that?
Although, i didnât mean that I was proud we had a group like that; more on I wanted to know what people thought of this âsquadâ. So, Like any other fan I took it to Tumblr first as oppose to twitterâs limits of 140 characters.Â
Paragraphs, and paragraphs, I read the same fucking things- and they werenât even subtle. They gave out the truth about this âsquadâ, and it soon led me to believe that these girls, why do they waste their time doing this?
Iâve read articles saying that they were rude to other fans, thinking they are more superior because of their âinside intelligenceâ from where the boys gathered to the studios and somehow, inside me, I managed to feel a little discomfort from their actions.Â
There was one about blurring out the fans in their selfieâs together with the boys, sexually harassing Luke and asking explicit information from Ashton, again about Luke and what disgusted me the most was a supposed vine or a time in a meet up that they had once made a racial comment towards Calum.Â
I donât fucking care, whether youâve joined this fandom today or the day Ashton left his job at KFC; do not,and I FUCKING MEAN THIS. DO NOT EVER SAY ANYTHING RACIAL TO CALUM BC ISTG YOU ARE UTTERLY DISRESPECTFUL AND INSENSITIVE TOWARDS HIM.
There were also claims that in Calumâs recent photo with one of the girls from the âsquadâ it had deemed that he was less interested, well, I would too if I had seen her more times Iâve seen my family (calumâs point of view)
Also, I think what also irritates me the most about these peopleâs actions is that, they seem to think highly of themselves. Last time, I checked the only distinguished words I hear before the word âfanâ is either âtrue fanâ or âfake fanâ.Never in my six years of being a fan of different artists have I witnessed other fans being more superior than the others because youâve gotten more photos of them, or because you know of their whereabouts or because you completely and delusively though you were their friends when you donât even know of their contact details.Â
If say, you are friends with them then why pay high prices for tickets? Why did I not see you in photos from Michaelâs and Calumâs birthdays? Why arenât they tagging you in tweets and in photos?
I came across another article saying a girl named Erika was said to be forming some type of line for fans to meet the boys...?The source I am reading this off is unsure, so am I but if it was true -and I pray to the highest of heavens that itâs not- then you need a reality check because thatâs just not right.
There were more articles about this group, how stalking the boys arenât right; itâs obviously in no shape or form is. Never right in the beginning.
Now, Iâve never talked to these girl nor do I think I follow them on any platform of the media, in the beginning I said it was out of curiosity. Who knows? I may be wrong or the articles Iâve read from are wrong but all I have to say is let the boys live their dreams and let the fans meet their idols freely without feeling less or discouraged.
