Squier Affinity Telecaster: An Honest Review!
At a remarkable £118 (due to a pricing error I think), does the Squier Affinity Telecaster represent the best deal on the guitar market, or are there any nasty surprises you need to know about before you buy? Check out my full and honest guitar review to find out! Squier Affinitity Telecaster affiliate links: US: https://guitar-center.pxf.io/K0zPmy UK and Other:…
Guitar Of The Day
Today’s guitar is my Squier Affinity Series ‘Butterscotch Blonde’ telecaster. This is actually the fifth and final one I’ve owned, didn’t have much chance to play this particular one. These are probably my favorite guitars, even though they’re Squier and not a more expensive brand, they do the job perfectly for what they’re designed to do; twangy country, thrash punk, and surf rock. Incredibly well-made for the price, which is super-cheap for a good axe - which is why I wound up eventually owning a fifth one, because the first four were used as concert give-aways. It’s a lot less painful giving away a $200 guitar, than one that costs a couple of thousand - and TBH, the more expensive ones aren’t worth spending on to do the kind of music I used this one for. That’s why I would never change the pick-ups from what came stock; they did a perfect job on punk and surf, why would I need to spend the money on great PUPs to play a cover of the Ruts?
If you’re looking for a good inexpensive guitar to mess around with, you can’t do better than this.
today me and jeeves fixed my bitch (top one), which had a faulty switch and shitty connections in the pickup and we also made the scratchplate look less disgusting and 2D.
also sprayed the top of my tele silver and cut a pickguard for it out of a David Bowie picture record. super excited to see it come together!
