I will start with the website. There's this new image here.

There's now a boathouse. This was not in the original. In the new alt scenario for DR2 that has new victims and killers, there will also be new locations. Perhaps this boathouse relates to this CG of Hajime and Nagito looking at a boat.

The UI in both screenshots says prologue and chapter 1. So in the prologue you first discover the boathouse and in chapter 1, there is a boat on the shore that makes Hajime and Nagito investigate the boathouse more.

Another thing from the website are the Monokuma and Monomi sprites.

New HD Monomi sprite is eye-catching but the Monokuma sprite intrigues me more. It may look like the reused sprite from V3 but they are actually a new sprite. How do I know? The trailer shows more Monokuma sprites up close and we can do a comparison.

Look at the eyes and the anger lines on his forehead and the ears. It's all new. Monokuma got updated sprites.

Now for the trailer itself. All the cgs from DR2 are reused which I wonder how badly that will clash with the new artstyle. But the locations are not.

The Hotel Site was redesigned from the ground up. It's way more fancy, more trees and smaller pool. Based on the mini map, it's still the same general area. cottages to the south and the pool and hotel proper to the north.

Same people in same cottages and same pixel sprites too. The shape of the pool area is now a circle instead of the the square.

Usami Corral. It actually kinda looks faithful to the og? Same barn and long building to the left. There's new objects like that tractor and sandbags and barrels. I don't see any animals. Maybe they are in the barn or are they just gone?

Mikan intro in the Rocketpunch Market. Here's another image of the Market.

Again, Market looks sorta the same, just updated with more decorations. I actually like them, the wood walls gives this place a more tropical shop vibe.

Also the Mikan sprite...Uh....More on that later.

The Restaurant. I could not find the matching Monomi sprite but you get the picture. Here's a better angle of the og restaurant.

Seems like the remake adds way more tables lol. Also the camera isn't hanging from the ceiling? It's just on the ground, will all cameras just be this same reused model?

The new beach and Nagito sprite. Remake adds soooo many new trees and a new landmass in the back. It's...a bit much. I have also noticed that Nagito's new sprite has a different design on his shirt. ...Uh why?

Walking around the island is now 100% revamped, holy shit. They really made Jabberwock Island so pretty. We can see the new hotel, it's damn huge. I wonder if inside there will be more rooms.

WAIT.

...That's the Old Building isn't it. Damn, thought it wasn't in the remake but there it is. But we know that there will be a new victims and killers so will the first murder still take place there?

Anyway, parking lot opposite of the Hotel is new, the ranch seems to be in the same place, I can't see the market but it's probably there in the same place.

I will say that while the remake looks pretty, and maybe I just have to get used to it, but I will prefer the og. Cause it just feels more comfy and fits the vibe way more. The shitty low quality tree pngs, I will always love you.

Now for the trial stuff.

The trial grounds for trial 1 got a new design. The big wall of seating from the og is gone and there are new Monokuma statues but other than than, it's pretty faithful. Although...what is that on the big TV screen.

Are those...file folders? 16 to be exact. Holy shit, is this a hint to them being in a simulation? Just drop a new hint like that out of nowhere. The Og just had white square, and only 14 of them. They don't look like file folders to me.

WAIT A DAMN MINUTE.

THIS LOOKS LIKE A TABLET. WAS THIS ALWAYS LIKE THIS? I NEVER NOTICED. The top part looks like an old apple iPhone top bar. WAIT. THE WHOLE THING IS AN IPHONE????

BRUH. THAT'S CRAZY, WHY DID IT TAKE ME THIS LONG TO SEE THIS????? Ok This has to be an intentional NWP hint. It has to be.

...Uh anyway, back to the trailer.

Mahiru and Mikan's trial seats are completely different in the remake.

I wonder why. Is this cause of the new alt story? Also there's an empty seat next to Mahiru. Is that supposed to be where the victim is? There's no death picture tho it makes sense not to show it in the trailer if it is a new person.

Last is the new counter animation. Yeah, the new remake one looks pretty good. We can see Hajime's molars now. That's neat.

Anyway, that's all I want to pick from the trailer, which is good as I just hit the 30 image limit lol. So overall? This new remake looks pretty I don't know if it really needs to exist? I'm still pissed DR1 was skipped as that needs an HD remake way more. (Tho...if it did I would likely hyper analyze and bitch about how the HD DR1 remake looks like.)

There's one thing I left out, the sprites. But I don't have any space for more images so I will make a new post.
