As is always the case with spring in Seattle, the weather has changed in the most dramatic way with a 23° drop in temperature and a cold, biting wind. In truth, we still love it. The cold air is fresh and smells like the briny water and the Shibakidz are jumping and running around like puppies. While strolling through the park one daaay 🎶 It feels so good to recharge and breathe in the energy of our home base today. It's a little cool and the tide is low so the air smells fresh and briny. And, like our own garden, it seems like all of Seattle is putting on a stunning display of color and life. These little flowers are a ground cover that grows thick along the banks of the sound by the path of our regular meander. Tiny but they pack a might punch and they certainly brightened up our day. STORY TIME!! As per the usual program on a Spring day in Seattle, our joyous, sunny meander turned in to running and gasping for air as this beat is back to the car. Along with the usual wind and rain came a couple good claps of thunder and a solid pelting with hail. To wrap it all up we got beaned pretty good with some debris when a little water spout decided to jump the banks and smacked us around. Apollo just laid down on the ground and the rest of us leaned into the mini twister as hard as we could. It passed in about five second but it left us good and soaked through and, as we said earlier, gasping for air and tasting salt water on our lips. We post this dramatic retelling from our dry and warm living room where the Shibakidz are snoring and we have had hot food and dry clothes.
