Discovered on my archives "Split Stream" postcard for the shared dance program at DTW, New York. With the card, the original photo by Robert FLYNT, shooted in Miami and edit in NY, and later on, became the card for the event. On the photo we all under water, and I'm the one on the right, but the ensemble was just perfect for #splitstream On "From Now On" performance @jeffmcmahonprojects wrote : " I don't make recommendations very often, but last night I saw FROM NOW ON, a performance by Lisbon-based choreographer/performance artist Paulo Henrique that I think deserves a bigger audience.[...] The piece is one of the stronger uses of video and technology in a live performance that I have seen. The piece has a seamless, rigorous quality that is very mysterious, intimate and personal, yet very formally satisfying. It is of a quality and focus that I don't see very often. I also don't often see this kind of work being done so successfully. I hope you can catch it. " Presented at Dance Theater Workshop in december 1998, produced by Forum Dança and Festival Danças na Cidade, 1996. FROM NOW ON - The human body as a matter of experimentation, focusing on the communication between the organic and non-material body. The performer disfigures and segments his body monstrously enlarging his face.
