Announcement: I have started a new chapter in my life entitled "Get Your Life" because I NEED to get my life together lol. If I had a dime for evey time I whispered, "Get your life Sam, get your life" to myself these past couple of weeks, I'd be living in an isolated mansion in the south of France. But, I digress. I was rereading my posts, *hair flip and an eye roll, and quite frankly I was getting a little depressed.

On that note; my pastor, lets call him E,  finally started the womanhood series at church today. FINALLY!!!! I felt like taking three laps around the church. Okay, I'm being extra. But you have no idea how much I needed this. I have been waiting for this series for like three months. My RA and I were literally counting down. I mean the manhood series was great! It helped me to determine the kind of man I need in my life, but SWEET baby Jesus I needed the message today. It was everything.

E emphasized that before Eve had a relationship with man, she had a relationship with God. So when God gave her to Adam it was clear that man and woman were different in their function but very equal in their value. I had to give a loud obnoxious "YES" when he said woman have the power of influence in a relationship. Meaning women are the influence without the authority, meaning women have the power without the position. *Flips hair. (Ok, I'm feeling myself a little too much lol)

E, also suggested that women can survive with just God all the way to the end but they cannot survive with just man. So many times have I been guilty of wanting a man more than God, so I lowered my principles in an attempt to get what I wanted. FAIL. What makes Eve, Eve isn't Adam, what makes Eve, Eve is God. YAAAAAAAAS!

The bible verse of today really gives me chills. God took such time and care to make women. We were sculpted with love, care, and purpose. So How dare we let anyone treat us like we're nothing. Cheat us and beat us. Use us for sex. And throw to the side what was so carefully and lovingly created.
