spidarrot posting, heres a render of one.. their bottom jaws are conspicuously oriented different in this image than what i showed before... must be nothing. anyways, hey got 2 bottom jaws, ancestrally speaking, earth vertebrates got their jaws from very specialized gill arches repurposed into our chompers. For Hīgra's "Ventrochords" (Spidarrot phylum), they had a proboscis that began shortening and specializing into the 3 mouthparts you see here. Their gills were located between the base of the abdomen and the end of the thorax, they have since been heavily repurposed into their lungs via their diaphragm-like gill arches
