The flavor of these Chinese Five Spice Chicken Wings is incredibly fragrant. The wings are marinated in a delicious mixture of spices, and when they are cooked to absolute perfection, they become crispy and incredibly delicious. Ideal for an easy and tasty dinner!
Ingredients: 12 chicken wings. 2 tablespoons Chinese five spice powder. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon ginger, grated. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Salt and pepper, to taste. Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish optional.
Instructions: To make the marinade, put the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and Chinese five spice powder in a bowl. Pour the marinade over the chicken wings and place them in a large ziplock bag. To make sure there is an even coating, seal the bag and massage. For optimal flavor, marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. After taking the chicken wings out of the marinade and letting the extra drip off, put them in the heated skillet. Cook the wings for 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a golden, crispy outside. As you cook, add salt and pepper to taste. If desired, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Enjoy your Chinese Five Spice Chicken Wings while they're hot!
