spell consisted of doing first a face with my paper intention then binding all those who gossip, lie, and spread rumours about me via tying a knot around a cricket's neck (using an old piece of black string i had previously used to hold my raven pendent), next adding chili powder to hurt anyone who tries to speak ill of me anyways and then convering it all with dirt to bury and stifle people+their rumours

i had asked hermes to give me a sign that the spell was successful, though i didn't expect such an immediate and obvious response as first accidentally crushing a cockroach that had been dying all day that. really i should have been thinking of. and THEN as i step back outside to clean up, somehow wandering straight to where a mynah bird feather was, birds i HEAVILY associate w communication
