'SANJIN AGIC' Micron 08 Pen on Bristol Paper 19x24in. 2021 $450 Unframed What can I say about Sanjin? We met over a decade ago here in SF after he finished up his BA in photography from AAU. I've always found his background and highly philophical ways of seeing the world facinating. When we had become friends Sanjin was a member of an art group known as 'Eye-94' consisting of a number of foriegn born artists residing in San Francisco. 'Eye-94' is based on the Form I-94. This is the DHS Arrival/Departure Record issued to aliens who are admitted to the U.S., who are adjusting status while in the U.S. or extending their stay, among other things. Sanjin was the Bosnian member of this group which consisted of artists of European, Mexican, Korean and Japanese decent. At the time they were creating projects both here in SF and TJ, Mexico. I found Sanjin's work, personal history and friendship very inspirational and even included Bosnian text in my murals at the time. Sanjin's attachment and appreciation to his Bosnian heritage, culture and history was highly informative to the work I was creating nearly a decade back. His work can be viewed at www.sanjinagic.com Thank you @sanjinagic for participating this project! #dyoungv #sanjinagic #eye-94 #spacegallery #fotokutura #sanfrancisco #cupofjoe (at San Francisco, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTX3tGwBK2z/?utm_medium=tumblr
