Henlo fam! Wanna do a art trade some time?
Hi dood! Sure! But I don’t really know how to do an art trade, pls explain everything to me senpai OwO *sparkle sparkle*
Hello! I absolutely love your art! Do you have any tips for making a webcomic?
aw, thanks so much!
honestly i am just a webcomic baby and i think other artists have said it better, but:
give up the ghost that you’re gonna make something perfect. don’t set out to make your magnum opus or become a wildly successful webcomics darling. you’re gonna end up setting yourself up to fail - not because you aren’t good at what you do, but because you’re putting a lot of pressure on yourself in the beginning and it’s gonna catch up to you sooner or later.Â
then, find something you’re willing to dedicate a long period of time creating, and make it. everyone has a different level of comfort when it comes to planning, so i don’t wanna say jump right in! or whatever, but if you find that you’re using planning to stall actually starting the comic, let it go and start the comic. you can’t progress the comic until you start the comic. i will say that i started messing around with the idea of pretty heart a solid year before i actually began it. sometimes i’m glad for that and sometimes i think i talked myself out of some things i would have enjoyed more because i was caught up in making something perfect.
& just let yourself be open to changing things! if you start and you find you aren’t enjoying a sequence or plot or whatever as much as you thought, cut it or change it until you do like it. you’re putting something online for free, and making sure you enjoy making it should be your first concern, or you’re gonna loose steam on it!
okay thats more than i meant to type so i’m gonna cut it off here haha but. i hope that helped a little?
