Holy shit holy SHIT this is so cute okay okay I have to tryto do justice to the logic of this childish hilarity.

Pidge only knew a little bit about Hunk and Lance’ssuperhero personas because she got to know them when they were at the Garrisonand ofc Hunk and Lance would still goof off in their dorm in the middle of thenight or terrorize some stuffy Garrison officer.

She automatically knows what’s going on when she hears theircatch phrases and sees the capes and hears them running around all willy nillyand she’s instantly hit with the conflicting feelings of “oh my God not again”and “oh thank God something from the old days, something comforting”

She’s busy working on some sort of technological project shedecided to investigate on a whim but now she has no choice but to be roped inas the faithful failsafe sidekick that is always there at the end of the day tomake sure that the heroes’ quest isn’t completely demolished by theiroverlooked mistakes lmfao

Shiro and Keith were busy doing some sort of strategizing orwere deep in a discussion on how they can improve their battle tactics whenthey were discovered and their activities were deemed “too serious, boring, andsubsequently deadly” by the band of heroes who are dedicated to preserving thefun and festivities for the inhabitants of the Castle of Lions

Allura instantly falls into line with them because sherealizes this is a perfect opportunityto get to see a side of them that is essential for them to be a proper and well-functioningteam. She knows they’ve been missing home and have been working themselvesragged for months, getting their formation of Voltron down to a science andworking harder to understand their bonds with their lions and so on and soforth.

Their whimsical game also brings back fond memories for herof the times when she would play around with her other Altean friends in the castleor her father would take her to frolic in the fields and just smell the air andthe flowers and be carefree.

It brings tears to her eyes remembering that being carefreeisn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity that they all need to respect and remember inorder not to lose themselves in the vast and overwhelming vacuum of space.

Coran is confused at first as to why everyone, including Allura,is avoiding him.

He doesn’t understand all of the strange terminology they’rethrowing out (which turn out to just be a litany of superhero Earth terms thatjust don’t instantaneously translate into the Altean vernacular) but soonenough he catches on to the fact that this is indeed a fun and friendly game.

Cue more of Lance eagerly sharing with everyone the sirensounds he wanted to use and everyone fighting with their trademarked fingerguns/laser sounds.
