The Sims 4: Tiny Living 🏠

Thanks to the EA Game Changers programme, I was able to get my hands on the newest stuff pack, Tiny Living! 

Part 1 - Build & Buy

First, I’m gonna focus on what is undeniably the best aspect of this pack - the buy mode items. I think I can confidently & safely say that this is one of my favourite selections of buy mode items from any pack we have. I love this stuff a lot, and I know for a fact that I am never going to stop using the furniture that came with this pack. 

Some of my favourite items include: the kitchen clutter shelf (5 stars), the bathroom clutter shelf (incredible), the new sofa set (wow), & the new mirror (iconic). In general though, I see myself reaching for this stuff in almost every future house I decorate. I think it’s a pack that will blend amazingly with other packs we have - especially Get Famous - and I think overall, it’s a really versatile selection of furniture.

I was a little disappointed we didn’t receive any new kitchen counters because I think that would have rounded this pack up nicely. I also think build mode is lacking - we only received one new door (the one pictured in the bathroom shots) and I think some windows or wall/flooring would have been an appreciated addition. 

Nevertheless, I am pretty happy with the buy content we received with this pack, and I think this will be a solid staple for any simmers who love decorating.

Now onto a slightly more sour note...create-a-sim content.

Part 2 - Create-A-Sim

Now, create-a-sim. If I’m being completely honest, this part of the pack is really weak for me. Are there a select number of items I like? yes. But overall, I’m not a massive fan of the items we received. 

The strongest aspect of the cas in this pack, for me, is probably the new hairs - I can see myself reaching for the male one a lot especially. I also do like the new pj set (which is unisex) as well as some of the sweaters. I think I’m most likely to reach for the cas items of this pack when I’m creating elders. There’s some cute & cosy items that I can definitely see little old people wearing, which is always a bonus. 

HOWEVER

of course, the most frustrating thing about this pack is...you guessed it - we yet again received no new child/toddler clothing!!!!!! Now, don’t get me wrong, we were at least ‘blessed’ with hair conversions. Cool - better than nothing I guess? But I am seriously over this trend of receiving no real new content for children & toddlers and I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around why they continue to leave children & toddlers with no new content? 

If I’m correct, I’m pretty sure we haven't received any new content for these life stages since Island Living. I just don't get it. There is 0 real reason why children & toddlers have been left out of this pack. Realm of Magic? I can semi- understand their logic - kids can’t use magic. University? made sense because children can't go to university. But Tiny Living? I just don’t get it & yet again, it’s one of the biggest let-downs for me. I understand & respect this may not be an issue for everyone but for me it really decreases the worth of the pack.
