This Cajun Fried Chicken recipe brings a spicy kick to the classic comfort food. Marinating the chicken in buttermilk ensures tenderness, while the Cajun seasoning blend adds bold flavor. Perfect for a Southern-inspired dinner!
Ingredients: 4 chicken breasts. 1 cup buttermilk. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: Place chicken breasts in a bowl and pour buttermilk over them. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes. In another bowl, mix together flour, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge marinated chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Fry chicken in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Transfer fried chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
