i played him like a year ago n i kinda forgot that he’s british?? but yeah dude’s got an accent. his parents were both hella young when they had hudson n his twin, rly not in any position to suddenly be taking care of 2 kids, but things were all relatively hunky dory for a bit. they were poorer than poor but they were getting by.

when hudson was 7 his ma got pregnant again n to add the icing on the cake his dad lost his job. turns out papa brooks wasn’t exactly being honest about where his money was coming from, and he owed a looot of drug money to the wrong people. they moved to chicago just in time for the third oldest son, franco to be born.

surprise surprise, things don’t get better in chicago. the only job his dad could land was becoming the town drunk, literally becoming frank from shameless 2.0 (except his name is dean... tru) and his mom died giving birth to her 7th child which really left hudson n his twin to be the two providers for the family

this would’ve been made easier IF hudson n his twin (ellis.. rip) weren’t notorious across town for being the 2 brothers to solve their issues w their fists before using their words. ellis finally managed to land a job as a barista but the only thing hudson could put on his resume was being fired 3 times in one week

so hudson was kinda just?? the trouble maker kid w the 6 siblings and drunk dad who skated around town destroying shit but one day while he was skating around w his pals some dude comes up to him n is like ‘hey u wanna model??’ (think ash stymest style) n hudson w an approximate income of -12 dollars was like fuck it

tuRNS out dudebro isn’t exactly the knight in shining armor hudson thought he would be n he has hudson sleeping w ‘clients’ to earn jobs n a little extra side cash

despite the overall shittiness, suddenly having a job has rly brought his life from 0 to 100 in a hot second so now he’s a lowkey ~model~ and he’s gettin photographed these fancy ass clothes he could only have dreamed of wearing before

and suddenly he’s making money? not a lot but considerably more than he used to but he’s also v busy, sometimes too busy to call home when he’s traveling around for shit so that’s put a strain on his relationship w his family

he feels bad that he’s not home a lot anymore so when he is home he tries his best to make it up to the fam but he only way he knows how to is by spending the money he gets thru his cool new “modeling” job, so it seems like he’s trying to pay his way thru his relationships but he’s not he just.. sucks.. at conveying feelings

he’s tryin his best to take care of his family n still be the same kid he was before all this shit went down but!! it’s tough life’s tough

growing up angus had a drunk dad and a v flaky mom.... they were always / there / but they were never really THERE u kno ? ?like they never went to his christmas concerts or baseball games when he was growin up but they did supply him w a house n food and shit like that....

he p much just depended on his older brother wilson and older sister nora but like.... wilson was 8 years older than him and nora was 6 years older so by the time he got to like...... 12....... they were both gone n he was p much on his own

he never really fit in with them ? tbh ? like .... w any of his fam... they always wanted 2 do drugs and drink and shit and angie was always like ? y tho.. he p much was always a music kid like.. banging on pots n pans and shit and singin and the entire adams fam was always like ? tf ? where did he come from

ofc he went down that path EVENTUALLY but we r getting there aren’t we ?

so @ 18 angus knocked a chick up and like.... wow what a mess that was ( pOSSIBLE PLOT ?  ) and like he literally begged her not to give the baby up for adoption even tho that was the end result.....

for some reason he thought he could actually do the kid good which was like ? a possibility at that time bc he p much was GOOD until this point

but after that he p much jumped off the fuCKin deep end like... so bad literally so much alcohol ..... so many hardcore drugs.... yikes

ever since he has never really been able to like.... fully get it together.... he never went to college or anything and highkey jumps from job to job 

he’s a rl fckn mess and what he really wants 2 do is just get rlly hardcore into music but like ? he’s a mess ? yikes ?

okay, so tbh she’s like a grown up version of carl gallagher. total agent of chaos.

her mother was sixteen when she had her and did NOT want a child at all. she figured out how much money she could receive for giving her child up for adoption so that’s what she did.

her mom’s parents fought her on the idea and took her to court for custody. they won and had jo until she was four , when they got in a terrible accident and died.

jo went straight into foster care and picked up bad behavior quickly. her foster brothers and sisters had all come from other bad homes and took her under her wing. they taught her how to pick pocket , how to outsmart the foster parents , how to defend herself.

in school , her teachers tried to help her shine through her backstory. she had the potential to become a merit scholar but her mouthy and disrespectful attitude was going against her. she graduated high school with a high gpa , but didn’t do anything with it because girls like her weren’t supposed to go to college.

she works as a bartender now. she’s considering getting into another profession with a higher pay , but she’s gotten comfortable with the local customers.

she uses humor as her defense a LOT. she’s a very sarcastic and boisterous girl who captivates a lot of attention. she’s very coquettish and she uses it to get what she wants. she got in fights a lot as a child , which followed her into adulthood , marking her quarrelsome. she’s very friendly and social , she has no problem going up and starting conversations with people. she’s terribly rude when she needs to be. very very closed off , nobody but a select few know her past a superficial level.
