*fairly unbiased, fact-based. I don't want more "moderates" trash! The Brissot bio by Ellery describes his POV fairly well, but it sounds like he was already hiding (most of them, it sounds like, were not actually in the Convention at the time). What about accounts of what was actually happening at the Convention, in the streets, behind the (non-Girondin) scenes? What was Max doing? Danton? Camille? I know some story about HΓ©rault being in the president's chair that day, but I don't know too many details/what's true. So what's the best account?
