#Soundwave2015 was to be the final year of Soundwave and no one really knew it yet. It was more than likely going to be the final year of touring with the festival for me anyway. I was starting to travel the world a lot more and needed the holidays I was using on Soundwave for places like the US and Japan. One of the main reasons I ended up just working on the #Sydney date in 2015 was because @natalia_ilic and I were leaving on a cruise to the #SouthPacific from #SydneyHarbour the next day. Funnily enough, right where all the excitement of Soundwave started for me with #Valencia back at #Soundwave2009. I feel like knowing it was my last year helped insulate me a lot when #Soundwave2016 was eventually cancelled. Although it was terrible to see something that I, and so many of my friends, had worked and partied so hard on over the years come to an end, I was thankful I'd already had my last hurrah anyway. It cured what would have been an extreme case of FOMO before it even started. The new two day format made my job in the Artist Signing Tent a hell of a lot easier, but I personally wasn't a big fan of it. As always, there were a bunch of bands playing that I was keen to see, but much like #Soundwave2014, I'd already seen a lot of the bands I wanted to check out. For me, #FallOutBoy were the main attraction. It had been a few years since I'd seen them and I am a huge fan of #FromUnderTheCorkTree and a bunch of their other tracks. #SW15

#GreenDay were one of the first bands I ever got into when I was young. #Nimrod was the first album I ever bought with my own money. I remember listening to #AmericanIdiot religiously on the bus and train on my way to high school for months. This was another massive moment for me...
