Sara had arrived late to the party, just in time to save the day. As was the Legends usual MO. Thankfully, the threat had been defeated and Sara was looking forward to catching up with her favorite Cardiff-based allies. But the team had been scattered and some werenât answering their coms, so the Legends took to scouring the scene for the missing Torchwood members.
With the shadows of night and only a thin sliver of moonlight to see by, Sara was able to discern Owenâs form but not the extent of his injuries. So at first, she merely grinned at the sight of him slowly walking closer. âHey Doc! Dâya miss me?â She received no answer and at the sight of the bruises adorning his face, Saraâs attitude quickly shifted, brows furrowed in concern as she moved closer, questioning if he was okay. âOwen...?â
Judging by the fact he quickly toppled over? Sara guessed he wasnât as okay as he was letting on.
âOwen!â Bolting forward and sinking to her knees, Sara carefully adjusted the doctor to rest his head in her lap. Wetness coated her hand and in the light of the moon, Sara was finally able to see just how badly Owen was bleeding. One hand pressed the cloth of his jacket against the wound to try and staunch the flow, the other reached up to her earpiece. âJack! Owenâs down, we need to get him out of here. Ray, Firestorm, fly your asses over here now and give Owen a lift into the Waverider for Gideon to assess the damage.â
Only after barking orders to her team did Sara glance down at the doctor, the hand not trying to staunch his bleeding moved to his neck, checking the speed of his heart rate. âTalk to me Doc, I canât have you passing out on me. What happened?â
