By @savethedugong "Happy (but not too happy) that the United Nations decided to issue a timeline for actions that the Australian Government must take in order to improve the health of the #GreatBarrierReef. The United Nations decided not to declare the Reef endangered, but guaranteed they'll continue monitoring its condition. Better news: the coal corporation responsible for the mega port expansions on the Great Barrier Reef have been declared "unbankable" by the Queensland government and they continue to lose financial support, leading to stop engineering work this past week. A HUGE thank you to all our supporters who wrote thousands of emails, signed petitions & joined the #FightForTheReef! Your names put pressure on the @UN to take action! Keep reposting, sharing and tagging your friends! #SaveTheDugong #SOSReef Photo credit: the wonderful @Nari3310 who kindly shared it with us." via @PhotoRepost_app
