OH BEAUTY. I don't know if I'll ever have an opportunity to see a tiger in the wild, but I hope so.  In the meantime, on the latest episode of Crikey, I cried my eyes out in joy, as they learned of the pregnancy of a Sumatran tiger.  These magnificent animals are critically endangered, and here in Orlando, we are fortunate to have the Disney Conservation Fund, which has also had breeding successes.  I pray that we can increase the numbers substantially and save this species. This animal has got to be among the most beautiful of G-d's creations...to me.  May they come to flourish on the earth.  From the series "STRIPES"

Greed and corruption fuels these decisions from country leaders. Won’t they be surprised when their KARMA comes home to roost, sooner than they think. @forestelephantfoundation ・・・ Botswana has recently lifted the ban on elephant hunting saying the move was justified by an increase in population as its impact on farmers’ livelihoods. Governments keep saying that hunting is justifiable to reduce over population of elephants but the reality is that fewer than 450,000 elephants remain according to the Great Elephant Census of 2016, and well down from the 3 to 5 million less than 100 years ago. Less than 100,000 of these elephants are forest elephants. In Africa there is one elephant per 20 000 people. While the human population is rapidly increasing, elephant numbers are plummeting. There are alternative conservation measures that can be implemented to minimise human wildlife conflict rather than killing elephants and promoting wildlife trade.
