Sora, Galatea
Galatea, when Sora first found you, did you tells him everything about yourself or did you keep a few details hidden from him?
"I didn't tell him," Galatea replied without hesitation. "Because I neither knew him nor trusted him."
She folded her arms.
"Why would I tell a complete stranger who I really was? My origins, Cadmus, why I existed... none of that was any of his business. Benevolent intentions don't automatically earn trust."
She glanced away for a moment before continuing.
"Sora kept trying to help anyway. He never pushed me for answers, never demanded an explanation. He just... treated me like a person."
A faint frown crossed her face.
"It was irritating."
After a brief pause, the corner of her mouth twitched upward ever so slightly.
"Eventually, I told him the truth. Not because he forced it out of me... but because he'd already proven he wasn't going to use it against me."
From across the room, Sora rubbed the back of his head with his usual sheepish grin.
"Well, everybody's got stuff they're not ready to talk about. I figured... when you wanted me to know, you'd tell me. Until then, I just wanted to help."
Galatea sighed.
"See? That's exactly what I mean. He's absurdly trusting."
"Hey," Sora laughed, "it's worked out pretty well so far."
