Allegiances for Moon #20
Whitecloud had high white spotting covering his body, right? His mother being the product of a Storm- and a Silver-, there was probably no WD for him to inherit. How is it that his sons have no white at all, as the allegiances suggest?
They do have small white markings, but chalk that up to the Doyalist reason of keeping them closer to their canon designs.
"Man, it's wild how half-siblings Cinderpelt and Rainkit and Sootkit all managed to end up as unique flavors of goober, but Willowpelt seems pretty calm, I wonder where they got it-" Sees One-Eye is their grandmother. "Oh." (Also, memeing aside- since we don't usually get the chance to look at half siblings, given the "one litter per mother" rule- what do Cinderpelt, Rainkit, and Sootkit think of eachother? Are they close?)
One-eye is so proud that her genes of nonsense passed down to her grandkits.
We don't see a whole lot of Rainkit and Sootkit interacting with Cinderpelt in this book, unfortunately - there was a lot of shit going on and that didn't take priority - but I can say that Cinderpelt loves messing with them as much as they love messing with others. She's quite proud of her little troublemaking brothers. They, in turn, think she's cool for letting them get away with shit and quietly encouraging them to bite Halftail when he's not looking. They could do without her teasing them with scary stories and behaviors she picked up from Yellowfang, though.
Do natural disasters impact prefix choices at all? For example, if Firestar was called Foxstar or something, after the forest fire in Charred Legacy, if a red kitten was born in ThunderClan would it be considered in poor taste to name it Fire-? For that matter, has anyone (aloud or silently) objected to Willowpelt's name choice for Sootkit?
It'd be a bit of a sore spot for some cats, I'm sure, but the queen can do what she wants. At least she knows for sure what a fire looks like.
No one has an issue with Sootkit's name, for the record. He's named accurately and he was born a long time after the fire. The real issue is the shit he and his brother keep pulling.

Soot and Rain were so nothingburger in canon, I’m excited to see that they already have more personality here!
I remember that Moonkitti often referenced them in videos as nothing characters (them and Brackenfur). It kicked me into wanting to help them stand out a bit, and here we are now!
May I ask why Rainkit is more likely to commit tax fraud than Sootkit? Would Sootkit prefer to commit a heist??
Rainkit's the leader in their games of chicanery. Rainkit's the one to go, "We're stealing the Declaration of Independence", and Sootkit's the one to get their car ready to bail the second the alarm goes off.
If it's not a spoiler, where did ShadowClan's Sootkit come from? I looked at the CL allegiances and unless Dipperthroat cloned himself before dying, Sootkit must be born of an outsider, right?
His lore isn't super important, but sure, we can say he's an outsider's kit that was brought into the Clan very soon after his birth.
