i'm still not over the fact we could've had Sonoko as Spade, but they nerfed her for plot reasons

Over the past few months, ive been trying to better identify "weeds" in my yard before pulling them out, so that i can get the invasive ones but leave the native ones! So far ive had SIX types of native flowers land in the yard, which is so cool!!!!!! (Honestly, i never would have guessed this many would randomly end up here!!). Two of them i already knew, but iNaturalist helped me ID the other four-- (Yay iNaturalist!). So i wanted to share what plants we've got so far!!
(The links are to wikipedia fyi)
^ First off, a beautiful brittlebush (before it turned brittle for the summer). I will probably have to pull this one up tho since its so close to the house. Theres also one in the sideyard, so we will see how that one fairs!
^ Next up, chinchweed!! I had never heard of it before, but it was so cute!! I also learned its used medicinally and as seasoning! And birds love the seeds.
^ Desert marigold! This thing has been doing great and has been blooming for so long! U can tell its native to the area because its reaching so hard for the sun away from the shaded wall lol. Its an annual, so i wonder when it will die off. I reallyyyyy hope some seeds grow from it tho!! Hopefully it will come back year after year.
^ This TINY thing here is a desert pincushion! I was devastated tho-- it popped up right as the grasshoppers popped up, and one ate the stem and killed it. Rip
^ Globemallow baby!! Theres been a ton growing in my area, and so i was excited to see about four pop up in the yard! They mostly get eaten so fast by either rabbits or bugs, but this one has been going so strong!! I hope it will make it!
^ Last but not least, our newest edition to the yard has been a sweetbush! Apparently pollinating insects love this thing, and birds like the seeds! I also found two baby praying mantises in it!!!!
Thats it so far, but i cant wait for more!! Theres a few plants that i have no clue what they are. So if anyone is knowledgable (or just interested) about sonoran plants, lmk and i will dm or post the pics of the unknown ones! :)
