A STRANGE HOUSE. She couldn’t help but think that there was something – spooky about it, as though it had been taken straight out of some tale trying to frighten you. Even despite the sunny weather and the lack of the thunderstorm this house would fit right into, she could feel the goosebumps forming. Idiotic! She was here for an investigation and had been sent out on her own because she was a well-trained member of the organisation, and not some child believing in every ghost story she had ever been told. But – they had found out that ghosts could be real, had they not? There were so many things out there, that they still couldn’t believe and while the United Kingdom had quite a few stories to tell, so must the United States.
Hand raised to knock on the door, she briefly furrowed her brows as she tried to make out what creature it was supposed to portray, before – she knocked on the door and waited.
And waited. Her clipboard held closely to her chest, she went through all the details they had – and the story she was to tell. Fact was, there had been some strange sightings in the area. Fact was, that there also had been some power fluctuations that couldn’t be explained. And the story she had to tell was also easy and at least there was a hint of truth in it: she was supposed to say she was working for the local council and interested in whether the family living here, had seen anything, too. Easy enough! Surely nothing could go wrong. | @sometimesdeadly LIKED.
