Recap:

It is a Directioner kind of start for One Direction as they go 1-2 at the start with their two videos on The Countdown's 42nd Cycle!  "Night Changes" opens at no. 1 and "Steal My Girl" opens at np. 2!  This sends defending champ Olivia Somerlyn behind the proverbial 8-ball as she opens at no. 3 once again!  Defending third wheel Taylor Swift and "Blank Space" checks in at no. 4 while Fifth Harmony brings their "Sledgehammer" to a no. 5 opening!

Rounding out the Top 6 is Lorde; Scotty McCreery and David Archuleta are both on the outside looking in at no. 7 and no. 8! 5 Seconds of Summer checks in at no. 9, Nick Jonas at 10, Meghan Trainor at no. 11 with new vid "Lips Are Movin" and rounding out the Top 12 is Mary English with "Come And Go!"

In the Mobile Tally:  Fifth Harmony turns the tally upside down as they open at no. 1!  Not too far behind is some "Night Changes" from One Direction at no. 2 and a "Parachute" from Olivia Somerlyn at the no. 3 spot!  Meghan Trainor fares much better in this tally at no. 4, Taylor Swift slips a bit to no. 5 and One Direction has "Steal My Girl" rounding out the Top 6!

In the web tally, Taylor Swift opens with a big lead, this time with new video "Blank Space,"an 8,000+ vote lead over defending runner-up Olivia Somerlyn!  Lorde trails well behind at no. 3 while defending no. 1 video "Shake It Off" opens lower at no. 4!  One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer round out the Top 6!

David Archuleta opens with his lowest position in 8 months at no. 7, Ed Sheeran and Nick Jonas go 8-9, Mary English tumbles at the open, checking in at no. 10!
