Hate to say it, but I'm hardcore judging anyone who's going to the Eternal Sunshine tour right now. My mom offered to take me to the Austin leg of the tour, but I declined. Seeing the videos of it now, I'm SO glad I did. If you thought Ariana looked thin in Wicked, you ain't seen nothing yet. She looks deathly ill right now. I'm not saying any of this to be edgy or funny, or to be an asshole. I'm completely, 100% serious.
Is she a good person? No. She's a serial cheater, a cultural appropriator, and a selfish person in general. But none of that is enough for me to want her to die, or turn a blind eye to what's happening to her right now. No one deserves this.
It truly astonishes me how many of her fans are saying she looks good right now. All of her bones are visible, her hair looks wispy, and her clothes are falling off. (Not putting images here because I don't want to trigger anyone. If you're going to search for pictures of her now, please proceed with caution.) Her voice sounds so much thinner and breathier now. She's not singing as high as she used to. Her voice is cracking more. She's letting the backing track do a lot of the work, and holding her mic out to the audience more. She's stumbling over lyrics. She's seated/not moving around much during the majority of the set. These all seem like signs of malnutrition. I don't know how she can do TWO months of this in her current state.
Even if she truly believes she's healthy, we can all see that she isn't. I used to try to just ignore her, but it's gotten to the point where I compulsively Google her name multiple times a day just to make sure she's still alive. I fear a headline announcing her passing will pop up at any minute.
And to any Arianators reading this- if you truly love this woman like you say you do, you'll stop supporting her. She doesn't need to make new music, or be in any movies, or any of that bullshit right now. She needs HELP. When Petal releases in July, DO NOT STREAM IT. I hate to cry "boycott" in a situation like this, but there's not much else we can do.
