You never know what you'll find when you paddle to an uninhabited side of a lake... Karen, with her bright purple top, came bursting out of the treeline with her mountain bike and family close behind. She asked where they were, and when I replied they were at the very end of two jack lake her face fell even further than the grimace she already wore. She explained that they had gotten lost and that her sons legs were torn up from trying to find their way through the bush. We devised a plan and began the task of ferrying the five individuals and their mountain bikes to a trail on the other side of the lake that lead to the car park... which was going to be a bit of a task for my small solo prospector. I was sure we would dump at least once, but each trip saw everyone across without the need for a swim! Such a lovely family, after everyone was across smiles broke out with talk about what a wonderful story this would make. The Canadian canoe saves the day! #clippercanoes #clippercanoe #twojacklake #banffnationalpark #meandmycanoe #notallheroeswearcapes #somepaddlecanoes 😉😆🛶 (at Two Jack Lake)
