Perhaps Marisa was being too cruel. She knew that she could never really have Asriel Belacqua, nor could he truly have her, and yet he was so captivating to her that she continued to flirt with him. It was a taunting, almost mocking flirting, like trying to tantalize a bull. Currently, she could only imagine what he was like in a sexual manner, but some part of him suggested to her that he had a similar cruelty. For whatever reason, this intrigued her more.Â
When she heard Lord Asriel was going to be here tonight, she added touches to herself without thinking. A bit of cleavage, a soft hint of perfume, as well as thinking of things she could say to him. She enjoyed talking with him immensely. Edward wasn’t stupid by any means, but Asriel’s intellect matched her own. Plus, they were both members of the RAI. Unlike she and Edward, they actually had plenty to talk about.Â
The golden monkey spotted Stelmaria from across the room with keen eyes, and without instruction began walking towards her and her human. Marisa followed suit, deciding to play it off as a host greeting one of her guests at this party, at least at first.
“Good afternoon, Lord Asriel.” she spoke, her voice light and airy. As actually instructed this time, her daemon remained composed, holding himself back by Marisa’s ankles. He glanced over to the snow leopard though.Â

@solscriven said: ❛ it feels like you’ve been avoiding me. ❜ (Alex)
“It may well feel that way but, no, I haven’t been avoiding you. It’s a big train.” The sarcasm flowed so freely from Alexandra’s lips as she turned to stare up at the man who was her father. The truth was, she had been avoiding Alex. Subconsciously, for the most part. She had made a habit of making a hasty exit whenever she saw him across a crowded Snowpiercer car. “It’s just a bit... weird... don’t you think? How Mom named me after you,” she commented with narrowed eyes. “You are a complete stranger to me. Hell, Wilford of all people has been more of a father figure in my life, as messed up as that sounds, but it’s just the way it is.” Alexandra shrugged. Although she had no intentions of being cruel, it felt unavoidable, natural. Alexander could handle it, she was sure, he was a fully grown man, after all.
@solscriven said: “ it’s okay to be angry, you’re allowed to be upset about what happened. ” {alexander}
"I'm not angry!" Alex insisted, though her tone and expression implied otherwise. A few deep, slow breaths later and she continued, her voice hard, "It wasn't your fault, I know that. You had no idea I existed and I thought you were long gone, just an idea in my head for years that didn't really exist, wasn't real. Then the freeze happened and... you were for sure dead. Now you're here and my mom, whom I also believed dead for the past however many months, is also here. It's just... it's a lot. Okay?! I'm sorry, but it is. I'm not angry, I'm just..." she huffed, wishing she was at the engine so she could busy her brain with a dozen different tasks to banish intruding, complicated thoughts. "I'm tired," she admitted, slumping sideways against the side of the train, the light rumbles that coursed through her body comforting her.
"I really don't know anything about you. I'm just as much you as I am my mother and I know next to nothing. Can you see the issue there?"
