#SolomonsKey Developed by #Temco Published by Temco Released in #1987 Solomon's Key is a yet another chapter in my book. Solomon's Key was probably one of my father's favorite games and one of the few games that I "beat" and he didn't. He came close many times but could never achieve the perfect GDV (Game Deviation Value) of 80. That score is based off various things including, completing rooms in a timely manner, collecting faeries, finding all secret rooms, all secret items and not dying. There are three different endings in the game, all depending on your GDV score. This is by far top ten hardest games on the NES, probably top five to be honest. There's 50 rooms total, including optional yet needed rooms and you only get 3 lives and no continues to complete the game. You could however get additional lives by collecting a certain number of faeries but still, good luck. I watched my father put in endless amount of hours in this game. When I wanted to see if I could get the GDV he never achieved, it took a lot of patience, practice and research. It took me on and off two and a half years to do this and I only did it once and will never, ever try again. It really was one of my most memorable accomplishments on the NES. This is a very special game to me and holds a spot in my heart. Funny thing is my father completed this game several times, so to me he beat it and kept on beating it. The only thing he wanted was his perfect 80 GDV, so I'm happy I earned it for him and for me. Overall I'll rate the game a 7 out of 10, even though its insanely difficult and highly frustrating. #Nintendo #NES #VideoGames #Games #Gamer #Gaming #GamersLife #Retro #Classic #RetroGames #ClassicGames #80s #Handsome_Rob_7 #TCOAG #Handsome_Rob_7_The_NES_Years https://www.instagram.com/p/BmeI0psl21a/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=164a5h48q11k9
