Sol Fertilis: Spring Equinox/Day of Planting/Fest of Beer
Day of Planting/Fest of Beer
The Day of Planting, also known as the Fest of Beer, celebrates the Spring Equinox. Families across Sol Fertilis engage in the tradition of planting flowers in their gardens, either by themselves, which are Middle and Lower Ranks, or using their gardener, primarily the Upper Ranks. This act symbolizes renewal and growth for their homes.Â
Farmers, which are Beta Neutrals, prepare their fields for the upcoming planting season. This is very important as they are getting the ground ready for crops to feed the nation.Â
The Temples in Sol Fertilis would call in their alewives, which are Gamma Minus women, to distribute beer to members of all ranks. The beer is made from Sol Barley, a variation of barley that used to be blessed directly by Aurora Mater herself, giving it a toasty and molasses-like taste.Â
The Spring Equinox is a transitional period between the lunar cycles associated with Vesta Luna. During ceremonies, Gamma Plus Lars performs rituals to mark the end of the Vesta Luna half of the year and the beginning of the Mars Sol half. One such ritual involves the sacrifice of a cow, symbolizing the culmination of the lunar cycle and the beginning of a new season characterized by fertility and abundance. This takes place at sunset.Â
Sol Fertilis: Omega Laws
The Omega Laws are a set of laws and mandates created to enforce “traditional” Omega roles in Verdorica and, later, Sol Fertilis. This is prior to the five “Open Policy Omega Laws”, where Omegas gain small but significant rights.
Omega Heat Suppression Ban (Lex Inhibitionis Caloris Omega)- The legal prohibition of heat suppressant medications or treatments for Omegas. This also extends to other forms of birth control for Omegas.
Omega Employment Realignment Act (Lex Reordinatio Implicatio Omega)- To remove Omegas from employment in all sectors. This is meant to have Omegas prioritize reproduction and child-rearing. This law was passed without the knowledge of the general public.
Marital Unification Act (Lex Coniugis Unificationis)- This law annulled all marriages between Omegas and non-Alphas. This also prevents any Omega from getting a marriage certificate if their spouse is not an Alpha. By default, cross-rank relationships are banned.Â
Omega Educational Exclusion Act (Lex Exclusio Educandi Omega)- This law effectively prohibited Omegas from attending or entering colleges and higher education institutions.
Omega Education Restructuring Act (Lex Restructura Educandi Omega)- This law brings in a different curriculum for Omega students and is revised to emphasize subjects that are deemed suitable for their future roles and responsibilities within society. This only focuses on childrearing, domestic skills, and textile arts.Â
Omega Financial Freeze Act (Lex Congelatio Financiarum Omega)- This froze all bank accounts that are under any Omega’s name. None of them can’t have access to them. Their money would be sent to their Alpha spouses’ names or the government take the money until they get married.Â
Omega Mobility Restriction Act (Lex Restrictio Mobilis Omega)- This law banned Omegas from owning and using cars, trucks, bicycles, and other methods of independent transportation.Â
Omega Co-Residency Mandate (Lex Cohabitatio Omega)- This legal measure aims to restrict Omegas from living alone. Instead, it mandates that they reside in communal or supervised living arrangements due to purported safety concerns.
Omega Monthly Health Checkup Mandate (Lex Mandatum Mensis Sanitatis Omega)- This law mandates all Omega individuals to undergo monthly medical checkups, primarily focusing on their reproductive and overall health
Omega Creativity Ban (Lex Creativitatis Omega)- This law created a complete prohibition on any form of entertainment, artistic expression, or creative work produced by Omegas.
Omega Travel Companion Mandate (Lex Socii Viatorum Omega)- This law prevents Omegas from traveling alone outside of their homes, especially if they are young or unmarried.
Omega Custody Restriction Act (Lex Restrictionis Custodiae Omega)- This law that restricts non-Alpha and non-Omega citizens from having custody of Omega children.Â
Omega Reformation Act (Lex Reforma Omega)- It is the mandatory placement of all Omegas into specialized facilities aimed at "restructuring" their minds and bodies. The four places are the Pink Center, Coelestis Progressus Omega Institutum/Heavenly Progress Omega Institute, Conservatio Omega Domus/Preservation Omega House, and Omega Sanctum.
Omega Rehabilitation and Repurposing Act (Lex Rehabilitatio et Redestinatio Omega)- This law is used to repurpose Omega individuals who have committed criminal offenses into conforming to traditional gender roles focused on family and child-rearing responsibilities.Â
Omega Dress Code Act (Lex Vestitus Omega)- It is a clothing mandate that requires Omegas to only wear traditional clothes and shades of red. This is also based on their age and marital status.
I am confused. How there are female alphas and male omegas? Do omegas always carry pregnancy? How are marriages between Alphas are allowed?
Now, I was expecting this for a while and got an answer for it. Female Alphas and Male Omegas are considered to be intersex.
Female Alpha Anatomy
Female Alphas have a functional uterus and penis. Their penises are retractable, and when retracted, they might be mistaken for a clitoris. Their penises also have knots. They are the only ones who are capable of producing both sperm and egg. They are also capable of producing breast milk as they are already shown to have breasts since puberty. This allows them to marry male Alphas and Omegas. The clothing laws are more lax on female Alphas than male and female Omegas. They are allowed to wear pants and skirts, including miniskirts.
Male Omega Anatomy
Male Omegas also have a functional uterus and penis. However, they can not produce sperm as the penis is only used for urination and expelling semen. In their lower regions, they have an anus and a vagina, which has a penis in place of the clitoris (I think this makes the most sense than the c-section and the anal birth canal). They can grow breasts during pregnancy to hold their milk. Male Omegas have to be physiologically similar to their female counterparts and have the perfect body for childbearing, hence why Sol Fertilis banned any Omega from gaining muscles. The only exercises they have are yoga and walking. Omegas have the strictest clothing laws as male Omegas had to wear modest clothes, primarily, shirts, pants, and jumpsuits. Several would even wear dresses.
This is how their reproductive organs are (Warning NSFW)

Christmas in Sol Fertilis
In the Catholic counties of Sol Fertilis, Christmas is a major holiday as it blends the Catholic Christian traditions with the Sol Fertilian cultural elements. Their variation of Santa Claus is named Pater Nativitatis. He has a companion named Comitissa Luminis. Pater Nativitatis, meaning Father Christmas in Latin, takes center stage as the benevolent gift-giver. Adorned in traditional Sol Fertilis attire, Pater Nativitatis embodies the spirit of generosity and blessings. Families eagerly await his arrival as he travels across the counties, delivering gifts that symbolize the cherished values of the heart, home, and prosperity. Pater Nativitatis becomes a unifying figure among the ranks. Comitissa Luminis, Pater Nativitatis' mystical companion and name meaning “Companion of Light”, enhances the Christmas celebrations with her radiant presence. Dressed in flowing garments adorned with luminescent motifs, she carries a lantern that represents hope, knowledge, and the enlightenment of the coming year. With her Romani heritage, her lantern also means resilience, wisdom, and nomadic traditions. Comitissa is not merely a companion but a symbol of the guiding light that leads the nation toward understanding, harmony, and wisdom during the festive season.
For the days leading up to Christmas, there would be Christmas trees being decorated and set up everywhere, along with poinsettias, wreaths, and garlands. The ornaments would look like acorns, pomegranates, wheat, quail eggs, and stars. There would be gold and white ribbons around it with Christmas lights that have red, black, green, blue, and purple. On the top, there would be a topper that resembles a crown with a lantern on it.
On Christmas Eve night, families attend the midnight Christmas Mass services in their county’s church, adorning their homes with Nativity scenes. In their homes, families would leave a bottle of sweet white wine for Pater Nativitatis and rosé wine with panellets for Comitissa. In the morning, families would open presents while having a light breakfast consisting of orange scones and coffee.
Throughout the day, every store in the county would be closed, causing many people to spend their day at home. Families would come together in households while lower ranks would celebrate in communal gatherings. There would be watching Christmas specials, either from government or network channels, listening to music from government-sanctioned musicians, or enjoying the folklore of Pater Nativitatis and Comitissa Luminis.
In the evening, families would have Festum Lucis, meaning Feast of Light in Latin, to commemorate the light that Comitissa has brought to their homes. In this banquet, families would eat the Lux Aves, which has Romani game birds such as quail, pheasant, and partridge. They are roasted with herbs and spices. Pater Nativitatis' Blessing Ham is a dry-cured ham roasted with rosemary, thyme, paprika, honey, salt, and pepper. Comitissa Luminis' Enlightened Seafood Platter is a Romani seafood and fish dish. Nomadic Pilaf is a rice dish that has Romani spices and herbs. Luminaria Fruit Salad has pomegranate seeds, grapes, apples, ruby strawberries, oranges, and mint, drizzled with red honey. Rosemary bread is often eaten as well. Finally, there is a Light of Wisdom Dessert Platter comprising Romani and Mediterranean desserts. They would include cannoli, sorbet, rice pudding, and semolina cake. To go with this, there is beer and sparkling wine, along with non-alcoholic options.
When night comes, families look at Christmas lights on public buildings and Households. They also consist of scenes of the Nativity, Pater Nativitatis and Comitissa Luminias, and other Christmas decorations. Finally, they carry around luminaries, symbolizing the Romani when they had to travel through the night.
At the end of the day, families would make a final prayer before heading to bed. On the next day, the Head of Households will start preparations for New Year’s celebrations.
Pater Nativitatis
Pater Nativitatis appears to be a handsome older, tall man of French/Germanic descent. He has silver hair and green eyes. He wears black robes adorned with gold and silver embroidery and a golden crown with rubies and onyx. His footwear is a pair of black traveling boots. He also wears a red velvet cape and a staff that is made of polished wood, wrapped with holly and the Lux Aves symbols.Â
He is also known as “Sexy Santa” in other countries.
Comitissa Luminis
Comitissa Luminis appears to be a young Roma woman with long black hair and a pair of chocolate-brown eyes. She wears a flowing and long white and gold ankle-length skirt and blouse, intricately patterned and adorned with Christmas stories. Her headscarf is white with gold embroidered stars. She also wears a shawl that has the colors black, red, green, purple, and blue, representing the colors of the ranks, along with gold Roma embroidery, coins, and beads. Finally, she wears a pair of light brown boots with golden toes as she walks around a lot.
After seeing art from @sarriathmg, I am now fully convinced that Jason would be an Omega along with Grant Wilson.
Plus, I think Raven would also be an Omega, just because.
Sol Fertilis: Food Brands
As I mentioned in this post, Sol Fertilis is a mixed economy where Alphas control the entirety of the private economy (capitalism). This also involves food products. Most companies had to create five packaging sizes, one for each rank. Here are some examples.
