If you’re spending a few nights in Bangkok and find yourself near Asok BTS Station, you might stumble into a side street glowing with neon signs, loud music, and a lot of curious foot traffic. That’s Soi Cowboy — one of the city’s most iconic nightlife spots.

Named after the American who opened the first bar here in the 1970s (yes, he wore a cowboy hat), Soi Cowboy has become a symbol of Bangkok's adult entertainment scene. But whether you're there to party, people-watch, or just see what all the buzz is about, it’s worth walking through at least once.

🏮 What to Expect on Soi Cowboy

Soi Cowboy is a short, 150-meter street, but it’s absolutely packed with go-go bars, themed venues, and a crowd that ranges from first-time tourists to Bangkok veterans. Bright lights, loud music, and open-air patios define the vibe.

While it’s most famous for its adult-themed entertainment, the overall energy is more lively and cheeky than aggressive. There’s no cover charge for most venues, and drinks are reasonably priced compared to more upscale clubs.

🚶‍♂️ Is It Worth Visiting?

Even if nightlife isn’t your thing, Soi Cowboy is a photogenic, high-energy piece of Bangkok culture. It’s not everyone's scene, but it’s undeniably part of what makes the city’s nightlife so globally talked about. And since it’s centrally located, you don’t have to go far out of your way.

📍 Where Is Soi Cowboy?

You’ll find Soi Cowboy between Sukhumvit Soi 21 and Soi 23, just a 2-minute walk from Asok BTS Station or Sukhumvit MRT Station. It’s surrounded by shopping malls, restaurants, and hotels — making it one of the easiest nightlife spots to reach in the city.

When we first went to Bangkok, we had a lot to think about. We were nervous because it would be our first time in Thailand and we were invited there by SwingersHub to join a swingers party where we could have some fun. We knew that there was a lot to check out but we had no idea how much fun this could turn out to be. 

  When we arrived in Bangkok City, we were taken our hotel on Soi 11 in Sukhumvit called Adelphi suites which is a Girl Friendly Hotel in Bangkok. It's a beautiful place to have fun. It's amazing how the SwingersHub finds these great hotels to have a party at. 

Couples & Girls for Fun  

There were other couples there too that wanted to meet us. So we went downstairs to the Monsoon restaurant and bar which is a part of the hotel. We met a number of swingers there that were keen on getting to know me and my wife better. Whilst chatting with some couples we were told that we are staying in the prime party area of Bangkok and we should consider exploring the nearby locations to have a good time. 

The first place we decided to check out was Nana Plaza which is an amazing place to find a number of bars and girls that are just ready to party. There were so many hot girls everywhere by wife and I were ready to pounce on any of them. We knew that we had to find the Best Places to Party in Bangkok so we went to this bar called Billboard. This is one of the best bars in Nana Plaza that has some really hot girls that get into a tub and are ready to party with you. We had a couple of drinks there and left. 

Soi Cowboy Girls

On our way out, we met a couple that offered to take us to a place called Kazy Kozy. This is a bar that is located at the other end called Soi Cowboy. This is one of the biggest red light areas in Bangkok I have ever seen and I was completely in love. My wife was taken aback by the beauty of these Thai girls and we decided to bring one girl back home with us. Inside the Kazy Kozy club, we saw some amazing things. On the stage, there were girls eating each other out and it was amazing. Joining our fun was the CEO and founder of SwingersHub who is one of the nicest guys we have ever met. He’s a true gentleman and knows how to treat a woman well. He evidently knows Bangkok well and it one of the best tour guides to have. 

Best Places to Party in Bangkok  

We left Soi Cowboy at around midnight with a girl in our hand and we had amazing fun back at the hotel with the other couples we met at the SwingersHub. On our next nights in Bangkok, we went ahead to find other great places to party and we were definitely not disappointed. The girls in Bangkok know how to party and they party hard. We spent 4 nights in Bangkok before moving on to Pattaya where we had some more fun. Overall, the girls, the other members from the SwingersHub and the party atmosphere and music that Bangkok has to offer was amazing. We can’t wait to get back there again.
