SOHC V8
Although France banned the SOHC V8 from NASCAR competition, Ford continued developing the engine, hoping to change Big Bill's mind. In May 1964, a 1964 Galaxie hardtop equipped with the Cammer V8 was parked behind Gasoline Alley at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where gathered journalists could clearly see it. Note the location of the spark plugs along the lower edge of the valve covers on this early version of the SOHC V8.
This is where my café racers project is at. The major changes are done, but still need a little finish. I must say I'm quite pleased with the way the custom saddle and back hump turned out.
