[EN] Here’s a portrait of Tymonek. Tymonek is the proud new owner of our second dog.
Yes — we now have a second four-legged friend. The decision had been in the making for a while.
We noticed that Miki, our first dog, didn’t cope well with being alone. He’s a clingy pup — happiest when someone is close by. Our daughter had been dreaming of another dog. She said she’d start saving up. And she did. We chipped in.
Then one day, I saw a post. Puppies up for adoption — some lowlife had abandoned them in the woods. No trace of responsibility. No trace of conscience.
Luckily, kind people found them. Photos were taken. The story was shared. I saw one of the pictures and thought: this is no coincidence.
I talked to my wife, and the next evening — the dog was with us.
Miki… well. At first: jealousy. Distrust. He wouldn’t come near. Tucked tail. And I have to admit — his timidity still surprises me. I don’t know if it’s his breed, or something from before — he came to us at seven months old.
But once the fear faded, things took off. Playtime. Chase games. A silent understanding.
The new pup — black as night — was named Perun. He looks a bit like a labrador, but his paws are massive — no doubt, he’s going to be a big dog. He’ll probably outgrow Miki soon enough.
Maybe it’s a touch of madness, but now we have two dogs. And three kids who are absolutely thrilled about it.
And honestly — that’s what matters most.
[PL] Oto portret Tymonka.
A my zaczęliśmy jej dokładać.
Aż pewnego dnia zobaczyłem ogłoszenie. Szczeniaki do oddania — bo jakiś zwyrol wywiózł je do lasu i porzucił.
I to siÄ™ liczy najbardziej.
Bedside (Altar-native) 2020 What if I wrapped every surface of my room, and the items that typically inhabit those surfaces, with my clothes? This was the original concept for this piece, which I edited down to include just my bedside table that has my most personal and essential items inside. Hiding my lotions, medicines, hair serums, conditioners, and sprays, perfumes, deodorants, picture frames, decorative knicknacks, glasses, chapsticks, headphones, reliquaries, mementos, makeup tools, etc, inside my socks reduces them to just forms on a plane. It’s sort of a reverse self-portrait, as you can’t be sure at all what’s underneath, or what anything looks like, but at the same time I’m using my own socks which gives it a personal significance.Â
All My Hose 2020 (Series) This series is the final draft of a concept that initially started with the idea of obscuring my face and body with pantyhose, putting it in soft focus so to speak, and posing like a sculpture. As I developed the idea further, I landed on taking this series of images as if they were self-portraits wearing only all of my pantyhose.Â

“Security,” 2020 This video was captured by the front door surveillance camera at my home. The concept originated from my desire to video document my clothing being projected into the air to capture the variety of forms and shapes they create. The idea then evolved to include a setting for my clothes that was autobiographical in nature, hence the front door to the home that I’ve lived in since age 5.Â
The title of the piece plays on multiple facets of the word; security camera ( the state of being free from danger or threat), financial security/stability, and emotional security.Â
