Day 6:  Softober.  “Blanket”

Hard to imagine how the mission could get worse.  First, Mara’s second-hand speeder broke down in the middle of a Muunilinst volcanic field. Naturally, the only person to respond to her hail was Skywalker, never mind why the Jedi was onplanet.  Unsurprisingly, the bad luck continued, her ankle twisting like a Mawvorr’s fang.  And then the galaxy decided now was the time for an impromptu magnetic storm, requiring battening down for the chilly night behind a waterfall.

Of course, her rescuer had only one blanket in his pack.  Mara cursed softly.

Then reconsidered.  

Maybe her luck was changing after all.

I decided I'm going to do a writing challenge this month where I write 12 short stories (maybe related, maybe not) following some prompts.
