Making some tweaks to the Lion Brand Wind Chime Afghan to make it a baby blanket: - use Bernat Softee Baby yarn, MC: mint and CC: grey marl - size G hook - substitute the joining row with one row of (ch5, sc in third DC), then one row in CC (sc, *ch2, sc in third chain, repeat from * to end and work next strip as written)
We got a new shipment of yarn last week, and the new Bernat Softee Baby is nothing like the stuff we got last time.
Blue is new, pink is old. The new stuff is nowhere near as soft, and not even half as shiny or silky. The twist is different too. It looks like Lion Brand Pound of Love. But it's not priced like Pound of Love!
I mean, I hate knitting with Softee Baby, but there's no denying that it was soft!
