You can make a tasty deep dish pizza in your crockpot. The slow cooking method makes sure that the crust is soft and the toppings are flavorful. Wonderful for a cozy night in!
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup cornmeal. 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast. 1 tsp sugar. 1/2 tsp salt. 2/3 cup warm water. 2 tbsp olive oil. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup pizza sauce. 1/2 cup cooked sausage crumbles. 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni. 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers. 1/4 cup sliced black olives. 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms. 1/4 cup sliced onions. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then let it rest for 10 minutes. Press the dough into the bottom of a greased crockpot. Spread pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a border for the crust. Layer with mozzarella cheese, sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, and onions. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top. Cover the crockpot and cook on high for 2-2.5 hours or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly. Carefully remove the pizza from the crockpot and let it cool slightly before slicing.
