I know the show used the loft in a very intense meta way. I'm fully aware of it. And that included the way that Eddie was always in a different orientation when it came to how they positioned the love interests. I'm pretty sure the only time they break the pattern with Eddie, is for the 601 couch talk dinner, where he is in the love interest orientation, while talking about Buck not seeing what's in front of him, and exemplifying the conclusion Buck later reaches when he moves his chair to the couch spot, that maybe he just needs to move something he already has. And the only love interest that breaks that pattern is the bt breakup, when Tommy is on the Eddie orientation because it's about Eddie. I know that's a thing but I'm sitting here baffled because I hadn't realized how many scenes with Taylor in that loft I can just mirror and make it fit a scene with Eddie in that damn loft. Some even have the same color palette. I try things out, they match, and I'm just here all surprisedpikachu.gig because on one side, yeah, Eddie was always put in a romantic place in Buck's life, but on the other it's always so great to find it exemplified in earlier seasons. It was always there, they just turned the dial up.
