I was taking some time to catch up on this blog today. Previously I've asked you mostly about Mason, but now that I'm reading some of your drabbles- ((grabby hands))- Tell Me About Matt, Yuugan, and the Ten Sages plotline
ALRIGHT;
SO I WILL WARN YOU NOW, THIS STORY IS EFFECTIVELY SPEAKING SPURNED FROM A BIRTHDAY GIFT TEN YEARS AGO, BUT IT TURNED INTO A THING AND I LOVE IT A LOT.
SO!
First off, Yuugan's a 'facet' of sorts of Matt from his original timeline that sort of melded into other AUs based on the idea I had of letting him act as a second consciousness in him, based from experiments that had happened from Relius (a chronophantasma sure, but even so)
In some stories, he ends up getting his own body, leaving Matt to retain his own strengths but having his own differences in terms of fighting style.
AS FOR THE TEN SAGES STORYLINE
THAT'S THE FUNNY BIRTHDAY THING TURNED CRAZIER.
IT ALL STARTED CUZ I ASKED A FRIEND TO WRITE NINE AS A BDAY GIFT, and I decided;
'Lemme write Seven and Eight from Phase Shift!'
And it doesn't help that said friend also wrote Kazuma Kval, I ended up having Eight get close with Kazuma, while Matt and Nine (going under her new name Koa) were their own side.
Seven had ambitions, and eventually, the idea I had would lead to the XBlaze Sages also being a thing.
Unfortunately, Koa and Matt were in fact separated via phenomena intervention outright erasing the former, the chronophantasma he fought being a more 'proper' Phantom, rather than the Koa he came to fall in love with.
The drabble series I was writing was meant to invoke the idea of being a series finale, since the writing partner as far as I know had moved on from tumblr (and I'm too nervous to ask him to write more on discord lol, we're both busy dorks)
I can talk more about matt at a later point this ended up taking my attention lol.

The BB cast usually have their birthdays fall on some notable day, though I can't find anything for Bullet's August 2nd- though apparently August is "Family Fun Month," which is neat with your Maragi gang (and tragic with her history...)
Anyways, with this in mind, do you have birthdays for the rest of the Maragis???
THIS ONE IS ACTUALLY A GOOD ONE I CAN ANSWER--!
Mason's birthday is actually today! Which is my birthday, but also what I chose for the unintended 'holiday' of Courageous follower day. Because he was someone who'd always follow Bullet without hesitation.
Caliber's birthday is January 24th, which has a similar unexpected holiday of 'Just Do It' day, fitting her rather forward mindset with fighting her hardest.
and Matt's is June 23rd, which sorta stands out as having no good holiday that works. (rip)
So the Maragi siblings are your main OCs- and we love them. But that got me wondering; since you did so awesome on these two Bullet fankids, do you have any concepts for kids of other cast members???
That is something I actually never thought about, honestly--!
It's actually a pretty strong question all things considered, I never had thought about it, cuz I personally didn't have 'many' pairings to work with. Although I'd legitimately have to consider a Bang/Litchi fankid because that'd be fun.
And also Bang deserves nice things, I do respect the Roy/Litchi shippers, but Bang deserves something in this day and age! I might have to see what I can do and go from there!
BLAZBLUE OC SQUAD, MY BELOVED! Alright, for the entire Maragi family; if they were given Arcade routes in any of the games... who would their story encounters be??? ((Big ask, so feel free to break up answer as needed ❤))
Considering I went on a tangent before w/ his Act 1, I'll start with the siblings' respective Act 1's, before getting to Act 2 +3 for them and Mason!
Act 1: Phantom of Labyrinth
Matt and Caliber's respective act 1's do start at stage 3 with them dueling each other. Both of them surmise that through phenomena intervention, they both were sent to the past with no idea when they were sent. After they spar, they both proceed to split up and get an idea of where they are/what they can do.
This is where their paths diverge, as Matt decides to pursue outliers that might not be connected to their background/heritage. Having run into Lambda. Lambda almost confuses him for Ragna (due to his Azure), but understandably is corrected. Before long, they're at a standstill. Kokonoe chimes in and asks Lambda what is even happening, before trying to question Matt (who she believes is his father Mason) for why he's attacking Lambda.
Amidst the confusion, Matt tries to ask where, or more accurately 'when' they are, but their conversation is interrupted when Tsubaki enters the scene. Matt offers to buy Lambda (and Kokonoe) time to escape as he holds off Tsubaki. Before long, as he's on the backfoot, Tsubaki's called away by urgent matters regarding Ragna.
Post-Stage 7 Scene Excerpt
"So what's your story, you said when when you asked where we were."
"I'm... This is gonna be convoluted but, I'm from the future."
"The future huh? Just stand back if this isn't your time, butterfly effect is still one hell of a bitch."
Kokonoe, believing this to be an effect of the Embryo, does buy Matt's story, offering some assistance but insisting he stand down to avoid re-writing the timeline.
Before the conversation continued, the signal dies as Matt's warped to Nine's domain. Deeming him and his sister both 'a light flung from the furthest future', and thus an unforeseen possibility in the grand scheme of things, before beckoning him to fight.
Afterwards, the fight's surprisingly still going. Matt wields an azure much different than the grimoire Ragna has, finding it curious. Matt scoffs, based on its origins compared to the true Azure Grimoire. Desiring nothing but the mere power to protect what is precious to him. Which leads to Nine's usual challenge of 'face Izanami for your wish'
As for Caliber's Act 1, after departing from her brother. Caliber decided to take the more straightforward 'fight hard and punch through every wall' approach. She's a headstrong one as her second encounter would lead to facing Rachel, who had taken notice of the unknown 'actors' upon the stage.
Caliber would take that as a compliment, before noting that if she knows her stuff, she could possibly help them find a way home, right? Of course, Rachel's none too shy to be herself about it, deeming it unwise for an observer to interfere in a future-dweller's affairs. Offering a battle in lieu of conversation.
However, Caliber is spotted by Naoto Kurogane, who believes it was a whole misunderstanding given he was dealing with trying to find Raquel. Rachel quickly disappears before answering any questions, and the two clash. Surprisingly, Naoto is on the backfoot as Caliber's able to claim the advantage.
Post-Stage 7 Cutscene Excerpt
"Wait, you're not from this world?"
"And you're from the future?!"
"...Honestly this was not what I expected today."
Caliber and Naoto surprisingly make fast friends of each other based on their respective circumstances before they depart. Though phenomena intervention has second thoughts as Caliber gets dragged to Nine's domain.
Caliber is the first of the Maragi trio to recognize Nine for who she is, which impresses the sage. But comments that flattery won't get her going without a fight.
Post-Stage 8 Excerpt
"My only desire is to fight not to defeat the strong, but defend the helpless. I'm not so bullheaded to let myself be consumed by that."
"If that is your desire, then do as I told your brother, face Izanami before the day of reckoning."
The idea that Matt had fought her before Caliber was a surprise to the elder sibling. Opting to make a note to find him and discuss what they know.
While I'm here doling out asks; when did Bullet and Mason start dating??? Like, in relation to what we know of her timeline. During their squad days, the Ikaruga war, after the tragedy, not until the main games, etc.???
{I'll answer this first because it's a fun one--!}
These two sort of hooked up at a time between the tragedy and main game's starting. I like to imagine that in an actual 'OG' timeline, they kept in touch even after the tragedy, and after trading notes would reunite during Chronophantasma.
Which means in that timeline, Mason ALSO dealt with Bang being... Bang. They butted heads a few times (because I imagine Bang being the simp he is for litchi would butt heads with Mason cuz 'SURELY SHE IS NOT SUPERIOR TO BULLET!')
Bullet had to cold clock both of them to shut 'em up. But they work surprisingly well together in a fight. Though Mason is a bit more 'grounded' than Bullet when it comes to social dealings, but he was likely raring to FIGHT when Azrael was making her eat the pavement. (And you could feasibly say if Kokonoe knew he was watching, he also got one hit like Tager did before Azrael got sent to the dimensional box)

Q&A: For the creative team, what made you want to do a story with two protagonists??? And, were there any versions of Cloudfall considered during earlier drafts that may have been significantly different than the story you're sharing with us now???
To be honest, it only happened because we wanted to play Legends Arceus together! Liv and I have a lot of fun doing Duolockes together, so when PLA came out, it was only a matter of time before we decided to play together!
In case Duolockes aren't common knowledge: A Duolocke is a Nuzlocke where two people are playing the challenge at the exact same time with the same rules. We basically just both had the game and were like "yo let's do PLA hard mode but like... together", so we did LOL Our two protagonists who are now Kentaro and Kiana were just a result of us choosing an avatar and name and playing the game together!
In terms of "early drafts", we stayed pretty consistent in our work from start to finish! We basically went in with a vague idea, which was "Two Step-Siblings who don't get along much get isekai'd to Hisui", and then we fleshed it out from there. The original idea for our protagonist was honestly just "meathead jock and friendly musician" and then we fleshed them out until we got Kentaro and Kiana out of the mix!
