Hi, uh.
I love that Tommy sock hc. My entire wardrobe is matchable with a pair of socks, they’re my favorite accessory and I have one of every color and hue imaginable. My sock basket (that’s a huge, special bin on the top shelf of my wardrobe) is home to loads of Halloween patterns, some really expensive socks from the National History and space museums, fluffy booties and socks of famous people like Frida Kahlo and Courtney love. I also own a small collection of insult socks.
My personal favorite is a pair covered in intricate clouds that discreetly say “up yours,” if you look close enough.
Can we talk more about the socks? Ily
HI HELLO. yes. socks. here are some random sock tommy hcs that i just thought of because who doesn’t love socks:
- tommy literally never throws socks away. he still has the first pair steve gave him. and even if they have holes and some mud stains, he still wears them occasionally, cherishes them. (and they’re washed carefully, by hand.)
- the amount of sock jokes and puns he makes???? “its socktober!!” “what do you call people who only wear socks at night?..sockturnal!” he just goes up to billy like, “do your socks have holes in them?” and billy confused, answers, “no..?” but tommy is doubling down from laughter- can barely get the rest of the joke out, “then how did you get your feet in them?!!”
- robin’s first visit to the boys’ apartment was mostly tommy eagerly showing her his sock collection.
- yes, he buys matching socks for steve, billy, and himself. they don’t hate it, even if they complain about how ‘cringe and sappy’ it is.
- the socks stay on during seggs
- his favourite pair have a flame pattern. (but if we’re really being honest, every time he gets new socks, he’s like THIS is my favourite.)
- sock collections tailored for specific seasons
- oh and he has a small pride socks collection too!!!!
- he loves seeing his boys in his clothes. sweaters, jackets, and all. even if they dont really fit. but what he loves most is steve and billy wearing his socks. the socks usually fit them okay and make them look 10 times cuddlier.
- AND YEAH YEAH. he has pairs of socks ESPECIALLY for when he wants to be petty. like he’d have a fight with one of the boys, put on one of his “insult socks,” and then kick his feet up on the table so they can see. (they probably see something like this.)
- (in the very far future) tommy lets his kids pick out socks and a tie for him to wear to fancy events. he has a growing collection of multicoloured fun ties too now. and if anyone says anything about how his socks don’t match his shoes/pants, he goes off about how humans should not confine themselves to “white socked hell”
