when tsu had a job opportunity come along in a big hospital in osaka, the lot moved there. jir doesn't care because he's a published author so moving is nbd. sak and sas vowed they'd follow and meet again at university. 3 years and one million exchanged letters later they're together again as promised.

since his youth, jiraiya has a kanji tattoo for 'oil' on his shoulder. his parents (fukasaku and shima) were herbalists and made all kinds of oils. jiraiya had carried on the family tradition for a while, published a book or two on natural medicine, before pursuing storytelling.

and so. naruto had always loved the idea of a tattoo and representing something in a meaningful way on your body FOREVER. during those 3 years naruto has gotten 4 tattoos: the seal (a tornado and scale readings) to represent his parents, cherry blossom for sakura, the tomoe for sasuke, and kurama's paw. 

when they meet again and sakura sees them, she proceeds to have the biggest crashout on that side of earth like

"DONT U KNOW IN THIS 1998 STUDY IT SAID THAT TATTOOS CAUSE CANCER AND YOU ALREADY HAVE 4 ?? WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO YOURSELF IM SO SCARED FOR YOU"

and he's all "but look!!! it's you!!" (points to cherry blossom)

sakura just breaks down like "thats really sweet but you’re gonna die 😭💔"
