Goddess Springs: much like the Goddess Statues in DQXI, the Goddess Springs serve as healers and places where Link can save inside dungeons.
However, they serve additional purposes: in Kingdom's Underbelly and Spiders Rest they heal Link of the poison status condition that many (although not all) monsters infuse their attacks with, and during the Giving Hope phase in towns Link can help the elderly and sickly to their pure waters.
Great Fairies live in certain Goddess Springs, (usually near or in towns) and may appear should Link ask. As the water coming from the bowl in the statue’s hands does healing, Great Fairies grant different blessings for those who ask.
Link can ask Hylia or the Great Fairies for guidance, although whether that guidance leads Link to a mini-dungeon, a hidden sidequest, a hint to a puzzle, or the way to the nearby dungeon only they know until Link follows it.
The Temple of Chains is an abnormal occurrence; the Master Sword has been stolen from its pedestal, (the puzzles meant to guard it already solved) and seals prevent monsters from escaping and people from entering. From time to time Link cannot enter the temple thanks to the Temple of Chains (and the souls it contains) and What Should Be (the Temple of Time) warring against each other.
“Little prince, I understand your wish to not learn magic.”
Link turns, and it’s an old sheikah. Very, very old. Her wisps of hair are pale as death, and her bony fingers resemble spider legs. If it weren't for the dark cloak she wore and the raspy breaths she took, Link could've called her a ghost or illusion cast by the sand that crumbles buildings in its wake.
“Before you wander into trouble, may this humble servant of the shadows teach you a single spell? A spell for sealing evil away?”
Link sighs, and nods.
"There's something.. in there. Something scary." the girl whispers, pointing towards the sand-worn entrance to the expansive graveyard. "And the grown-ups don't like it. And it only came in just a long while ago."
When Link asks about it to Impa, she sighs.
"To honor our dead without desolation and curses seeping the ground.." she replies, her gaze far away. "Is that all really too much to ask?"

"You didn't notice he was dead, did you?" Lavi whispers as she detaches the white wolfos from their harness.
Link nods, patting one of the wolfos as it passed by.
"You were being chased by an avalanche, young hylian. It makes sense you wouldn't notice." Lavi continues, picking up some of the gear Link had watched over so diligently.
Frosthelm: the most expansive (and deadliest) region Link braves to destroy the hold the Desert of Darkness has upon the land of Hylia. While it reaches behind Lanayru Desert and prevents other nations from invading by land due to sheer inability for anything to survive, Link must only explore the small part included in Hyrule's map: the mountain containing the Corpse of the Great Tree and the frozen corpses, restless ghosts partway to becoming Poes, and the research notes the dungeon guards behind it's boss; Valgeru, Parasite of Ice and Wood.
The Desert Guildsmen reside in the area of Frosthelm they've used magic on to create a place where life can survive above ground.
He scanned Link with those golden hawkish eyes, arms crossed.
"Very well. We will lead you across the desert."
Link brightened at the words, reaching towards his wallet.
Teso lifted a hand, drawing Link's attention once more.
"We have no need of your rupees. Instead.." Teso tapped the map on the table, "we barter with goods. Bring us cacti from the hylian fields; ant nests from the underbelly of the zora's land, and gems from the gorons."
Link nodded, cocking his head at the mention of the gems.
"The Gerudo may use your currency, but rarely does any but traveling merchants reach the Warriors of Black and Gold. If you are to meet them, it is best to bring supplies they value." Teso explained, brushing his fingers on his feathers.
Link nodded again, scribbling the spots to gather supplies on his map. Farrell hummed from inside the tunic, marking down the new Quest.
