Oc design lore fact is that i designed crank with a mascot head on because i really liked masked characters. Then i realized id have to come to terms with rthe fact that she has a head under the mask but i hate unmasking masked characters sooo so so so so much because the design appeal is ruined once the mask is gone so i decided actually thats just her head now. There’s nothing under there.
artfight having a character connection page is so huge.
if ger crank and rosie had access to modern music libraries, what would be their favorite albums...
idont knowwwww < guy who doesnt know shit for fuck about albums. im a one song per artist guy.
how about this friend queen. im going to give you their favorite genres and You giveme an album. (silly) youre a music liker more than i am. Ger would really hyperpop and vocaloid music, crank is an old dad rock fan, and rosie likes bolero and love ballads. the more u know . pointing up emoji.
I mentioned it in their toyhouse page, but Ger originally met her online buddies (Big T, Fenfang, Orchid) when she accidentally tuned into the radio frequency they use to talk to each other. When the three of them found out there was a stranger on their line, they resorted to their usual tactic: barking very loudly into their microphones to try to overpower her so that she would leave. So that was her first real interaction with them.

Is the title "SO BELOW" in reference to the phrase "as above, so below"? And if so does the phrase's meaning have any sort of connection to the story/worldbuilding besides the fact that things are underground-y?
It is! As the story evolves around the way social rules create false barriers between people by way of class, the application of 'as above, so below' here sort of encapsulates the belief that the people you perceive as above you (or beneath you) maintain the same traits you have. It's sort of about disillusionment with the final step, the last thing you have to do to be happy. If I "make it" to the top, I'll escape everything beneath me. As if what's at the top does not hold the same things you thought it would free you from.
Something about self reflection and inescapable truths and seeing yourself in others. if you catch my application of the phrase here.
Are Crank and Carousel similar in the animal head sewed/magiked on heads? Who did it for Carousel?
smiles serenely. Carousel is Crank's old boss, and the reason that she has the robotic head replacement she does. Carousel is just wearing a mask. He believes in a world where he can be beyond his current physical body, but he's not ready to test that reality on himself just yet. Crank was one of his first successes.
Can yuo rank the leaders of the four Halls on friendliness/good intention
i would describe friendliness and good intention as two Very separate things, but yes!
Holiday -Incredibly friendly, one of the most personable hosts. Mingles within the crowds frequently. A dynamic with competitors akin to a small-town shop owner who will sit with their customers on their off-time. -Well intended, small worldview. Believes herself to be more separated from the spirit of the tournament than the other hosts, will fail to meaningfully acknowledge the power she holds above participants.
Kallout -Very competitive, but very invested in the fun of it. Gets along well with competitors but still values the power of being the host and the one in control. Motivated by sheer love of the game. -Not really any sort of “intended,” honestly. Very short-sighted. She’s just enjoying the fun and the power trip that comes with the job.
Ms. Jones -Stuck up, picks and chooses the crowd around her. Does not see competition as something she would debase herself with participating in regularly, but will do so to prove a point. -Very self-invested. She was given a space above other people and will not try to absolve herself of the potential guilt of holding people’s future in her hands for entertainment. If she is here she is going to take the position for all its worth and be unabashedly the one in charge.
Carousel -A difficult read. Viewed almost as benevolent—more of a concept than a person to most. Kind to those who are struggling. -Very self-invested, very cowardly. Believes there is a better future for him out there but chooses to playtest the steps to get there through the people around him instead of taking his own risks. Greatly abuses the dynamic that being a host puts him in with competitors.
