Get ready for Gelpolishpalooza! It’s funny how I never thought that I would do gel manicures, but somehow I’ve ended up as a reviewer for a ton of them now! Expect to see quite a few more gel polish reviews in the near future.

Today’s focus is going to be on the foundation of any good gel manicure: a base and top coat set. This one is from UR Sugar, and it had my doubts because this set is one of…

I’ve been working with gel polishes a lot lately, so as you know, this is not my first time trying out Aimeili’s line. I love their gels for their ease of application, beautiful colors, and long lasting formula. With a correct application of thin layers of gel over well prepped nails, you can expect your manicure to last until you get tired of the color or until your nails grow out.

TC06 looks like a candy grape color when it’s cold and turns into a medium light blue shade when it’s warm. It has small hexagonal and fine silver glitter pieces in the formula, and they distribute pretty evenly when the polish is applied.

The brush in the bottle is super easy to maneuver. Please watch my swatching video to see the application process!

As you can see, I used 2 thin coats of polish for the swatch and cured each layer for one minute each in a 36W UV/LED lamp. Here are the photos up close:

  Because it’s been so cold lately and the glitter in the formula reminded me of snow, I decided to paint Olaf from Frozen on my ring finger. You can see him in daytime and evening settings thanks to the color shift with the temperature!

The temperatures need not be extreme to get the nail polish to change colors, so you can keep yourself entertained all day long seeing your nails transform as you wash your hands and transition from outdoor to indoor climates.

“If I must.” She knows he is joking. Her husband understands her needs. A week after they brought their daughter home, she needs to get out and have her nails done.

“You know I can’t leave her, not with her feeding all the time.” It wasn’t  technically all the time, but it felt like it. Bree would no sooner leave her breast, Jamie changed her nappy, a quick nap ( they are blessed if she sleeps a hour) and she is hungry again.

“I know. I was trying to be funny,” She gives him a strained smile, “you know it won’t always be this way. Then you will miss her this small.”  He smiles down at his daughter.

“You are right. Keep reminding me of that.”

“As often as you need.”
