CW: Gn!Reader x Taeyeon/Jessica, Fluff, part 1

Synopsis: Y/N was close friends with SNSD, particularly with Jessica and Taeyeon. It was rather an open secret in the group that Jessica liked Y/N due to a misunderstanding where Jessica overheard Y/N talking, she got the impression that you weren’t interested in her. Worse still, the incident happened and you ended up losing touch with Jessica soon after. However, in that period you grew closer, much closer with Taeyeon, even moving in together last year. Fate though seems to have a different plan or perhaps it just decides to open up closed roads for you….

And as you walk around with Taeyeon, someone on the bench catches your eye, for some reason you feel drawn towards her, you stagger and take a moment to focus on the mystery person.

“Y/n? You okay what are you….”, Taeyeon falters in her question as her eyes land on same person as you. “Oh.”, her voice sounding slightly colder as she instantly recognizes her.

You make your way towards the woman, hesitantly tapping her on the shoulder, “Excuse me”….

She turns around and you get a good look at her and you are almost positive that this is indeed her, a friend you hadn’t seen in almost 5 years. But she just looks at you blankly, confused, “yes…?”

“Sorry, I just thought you were….”, Now you feel a bit stupid, was this not her, you could have sworn that….then you notice her smiling and you feel your eyes roll, a mixture of emotions flooding through.

“You fell for it Y/N”, Jessica teased gleefully. “Did you really think I wouldn’t recognize you?”, she asked as she suddenly pulled you into for a hug.

You sigh and hug her back, unable to stop smiling as well. It felt good, it had been so long since you met her but it still felt like not a minute had passed since the two of you were sneaking about in the SM building. She pulls back from the hug slightly to look at you and for some reason that makes you a bit tense, you feel your heart beat faster.

“Ahem”, Taeyeon interrupts, her arms folded and she’s tapping her feet impatiently.

Jessica tightens her hold on you for a second before she reluctantly lets go of you. “Taeyeon.”, she notes, the friendly and happy voice she used to greet you is gone.

“Jessica….”, Taeyeon replies.

The two women glared at each other for a few moments before forcing themselves to hug each other briefly. The tension between them is rapidly growing to the point you could almost physically feel it.

“What brings you here Sica”, you ask, using her nickname hoping things will calm down a bit, you had no idea why it was tense between them so much.

“Oh…I’m just here for work you know…like yeah…you know how it is right….”, she says distractedly, “but maybe I now have more reasons”, she smiles warmly at you.

You wonder what that could mean. “Right”, you smile back. “Well, if you aren’t busy you should come back with me to my-”

“You mean to OUR place”, Taeyeon interrupts and adds very clearly. “Yes sure why not. What could be the issue with that.”

The three of you are sitting at the dining table, you are at the head seat while Sica and Taeyeon are sitting facing each other.

“Nice place you have here Y/N”, Sica says smiling.

“It’s mine too. We live together, have been for a while now.”, Taeyeon interjects somewhat smugly.

“I didn’t ask.”, Sica replies with a forced smile but the sting in her voice makes it clear that Taeyeon is winning this round.

You try to change the topic sensing the hostility and it works…for a while atleast. A couple hours pass by, topics of the old days, catching up to the current times all happen and then Taeyeon looks to the clock. “Well, WE don’t want to hold you up any longer than you want to be, don’t worry if you need to leave, it’s not a big deal. I’m sure your manager will want you back at the hotel.”

“Actually….”, Jessica begins awkwardly, “I don’t have a manager anymore….I just came on my own to do some work, maybe explore a bit but the usual place I stay at is fully booked right now. Even though they can make exceptions for me, this time it’s a bit too late for that”.

Taeyeon’s alarm bells begin to ring as she sense which direction this conversation is headed and she kicks your leg under the table, warning you not to do it. However, you instead take that as a cue to do the opposite.

“I’m sorry to hear that Sica”, you begin sympathetically as Taeyeon nods trying not to smile. “But if you’d like, you can stay here for a few days”, you offer and Taeyeon immediately stops nodding, staring dagger at you trying to send the message but you didn’t notice.

“Oh really? You don’t mind?”, Sica turns to ask Taeyeon with a triumphant smile.

“Well, actually”, Taeyeon racks her brains trying to think of an excuse, “there’s only one bed at the moment because the other room is being painted. So I guess….”.

“Someone can sleep on the couch maybe?”, you suggest.

“Well, in that case, Jessica you can just sleep on the couch”, Taeyeon says dismissively.

“Where is Y/N sleeping then? Didn’t you say they slept here”, Jessica asks quickly.

“Well…since there’s no other way, they can sleep with me-I mean, on my bed this one time I guess”, Taeyeon answers like she doesn’t want this but has no other option.

“No.”, Jessica replied in a cold tone all of a sudden.

“Excuse me?”, Taeyeon wasn’t sure she heard Jessica right, no way Jessica could show that attitude and tone to her right?

“You heard me”, Jessica said just as coldly.

Both women staring at each other in a hostile manner.

“Why not.”, Taeyeon questions, slightly annoyed now.

“Well, the two of us have shared beds before, we can do that again. Y/N can take the couch.”, Jessica replies but sounds unconvincing.

“Huh but this is my-”, you start but Taeyeon shuts you up.

“Fine….I guess that works.”, Taeyeon reluctantly accepts Jessica’s suggestion.

Later that night you were twisting and turning on the couch, missing your bed. You sigh and take a deep breath. You were staring at the ceiling slowly falling asleep when you feel a hand on your shoulder.

“Y/N? You awake?”, Jessica quietly whispers.

“Hmm?” You sleepily reply. “Jes…Sica? You aren’t sleeping?”

“I did for a bit….but now I can’t…” she says quietly.

You sit up and yawn, making space for her and she sits next to you, getting into the blanket, leaning in close to you. It feels a bit weird. Like you were back in the past. You recall the movie nights and marathons you both did together. The two of you sit in silence, quietly enjoying the warmth and presence of the other.

“….you wanna watch a movie like old times?”, you ask breaking the silence.

Jessica smiles brightly, leaning into you a bit, fidgeting with her necklace,“I was hoping you would ask that.”

You smile back and soon enough you both had put on something. About an hour later, you both were just giggling and teasing each other, paying almost no attention to the movie. You try to playfully shove her to the side but Sica holds on to you and you end up falling on top of her. You both just stare at each other for a second before breaking into giggles again.

“Ahnnn…you are so mean”, Jessica pouts playfully, fidgeting with the necklace again.

You smirk and roll your eyes. “Wait….that necklace….is that…”, you observe in disbelief.

Jessica becomes quiet all of a sudden, you can just about notice her cheeks flush in the dim light and she smiles shyly, “Yeah, it is.”

You have a flashback from when you gave it to her 6 years ago on her birthday. It was a last minute gift that you got for her. It wasn’t anything fancy or anything. You didn’t even think she’d ever wear it to be honest.

“Uhm…Y/N?”, Jessica brings you back to reality and you realize you leaned in close to her. You cough and awkwardly pull away, feeling your cheeks redden.

She gets up and lays on one end of the couch while you are still on the ground, mentally punching yourself for making things awkward.

“Hey, sorry about that I didn’t realize I was….”, you stop as you realize Jessica has already fallen asleep.

You sigh and put the blanket on her carefully and go to the bedroom, finding Taeyeon sleeping.

“She looks so cute when she sleeps”, you think as you lay next to her and lose yourself to random thoughts before drifting off to sleep too.

You wince as sunlight hits your eyes, blinking unhappily before trying to turn away only to realize that you can’t turn…..because Taeyeon had her arm wrapped around you and buried her head in your back, sleeping peacefully while holding on to you. You take a deep breath and think what you can do to get up without waking her up. You think for a couple moments and try to shift a bit but she immediately stirs so you stop. You sigh and stay still. Minutes pass by and you decide you will try to get up anyway but at the last second you stop as you didn’t wanna wake her up at all. Somehow you manage to turn over, facing her. She was breathing quietly, you could feel her breath on your neck. Suddenly you had a very strong urge to kiss her forehead. It wasn’t your fault. Mostly. Taeyeon just looked really precious right now. As you deliberated with yourself, you make your choice and decide to go ahead with it. You gently kiss her forehead……then Taeyeon snuggles closer.

“Mmmm….you are so warm”, she said in her sleep.

You now feel your heart racing. Was this right, should you do this? You want to but….

The door suddenly flung open. “Y/N where did you go I had fallen asleep after we……what are you both doing?????”

Taeyeon kissed her teeth, “Jessica let me sleep…it’s too early right now….”

“Like hell I will. What are you both doing.”, Jessica demanded once again.

Taeyeon finally wakes up and looks to the door, “what do you mean, I’m….wait if you are there then….”, she turns to look at you and a look of surprise flashes through her face and it begins to redden. She pushes you away, “Y/N??? What are you doing!”

“That’s what I’ve been asking!”, Jessica agrees with her for once.

“No, girls, listen, it’s just a misunderstanding.”, you begin sheepishly.

“Explain yourself. NOW.” They said at the same time.

“Well, after we watched the movie and…ahem, you ended up falling asleep on the couch, I just-”, you began but were interrupted almost immediately.

“Wait wait wait. What do you mean watched the movie. With who…”, Taeyeons eyes drift to Jessica a flash of jealousy appears.

“ANYway”, you continue, hoping to calm things now, “Sica fell asleep on the couch so I just came to sleep here.”

Taeyeon blinks and then blushes hard, “wait does that mean that the person….”, she put her hand up to her temple, the spot you impulsively kissed.

You feel your face redden and you look away, avoiding eye contact. There’s silence now and you can feel Jessica glaring at you.

Breakfast was awkward and silent. Coincidentally all three of you finished at the same time. You were hoping that things will resolve by themselves but apparently that was too much to hope for.

“Y/N do you wanna help me paint the other room”, Taeyeon suddenly asked

“Y/N do you want to help me with some shopping”, Jessica asked at the same time.

“Stop.. Don’t-”

“No…. Leave her alone, please!”

“Who.. Where.. What’s going on?”

Tiffany’s eyes jolted open as she heard your panicked voice. Her sleepiness faded away almost immediately, her head snapping to the side to make sure you were alright. Her brows furrowed as she listened to the pain and fear in your words, but she breathed a sigh of relief as she found you still sleeping beside her. She figured it was only a bad nightmare, which was much better than you being in actual trouble.

Your girlfriend sat fully upright, turning you on your back and shaking your shoulders. You groaned sleepily, but she had done enough to wake you, your eyelids groggily opening to see what was going on. 

When you finally snapped out of your sleep-induced confusion, your eyes widened, glad the horrible scenario you had just experienced was nothing but a dream. Tears began to well in your eyes as you recalled the events of your nightmare, leading your girlfriend to pull you into a tight embrace to calm you down.

“Hey baby, don’t cry! It’s all over now. I’ve got you.” Tiffany spoke softly, letting you cry into hre shoulder as she softly rubbed your back.

After your sobs had quietened down and your tears subsided, you finally pulled away from Tiffany’s shoulder, opting instead to look her in the eye. Her heart shattered a little as she saw you, your eyes swollen and your breathing still uneven.

“Do you want to talk about it baby?” She asked quietly, her hands cupping your face as she used her thumbs to stroke up any final tears that spilled from your eyes.

“I- It was a bad nightmare, Fany.” You hiccuped through your sentence as you felt your emotions build up as you recalled the unpleasant dream. “S- Some strange men came by and threatened to t- take you, and… and I couldn’t stop them Fany, I- I couldn’t help you!”

Tiffany waited patiently as you stuttered out, your breath jumping as your tears started to flow again. She pulled you into an even tighter embrace than before, laying down and bringing your head onto her chest.

Rubbing your back in soothing circles, Tiffany spoke again. 

“Don’t cry baby. I’m right here, and no one is going to take me from you, okay? I’m right here baby, right here.” Her voice faded to a whisper before she kissed the top of your head. You moved yourself up a little before kissing her cheek; a way to thank her for comforting you even in the earliest hours of the nighttime. She chuckled a little at your endearing actions, pressing another quick peck to your forehead.

“Are you feeling a little better now, baby?” Tiffany asked after a few more minutes, noticing your breathing had become more stable again.

“Yeah, I’m okay, Fany. But… Can I ask you something?.” You replied, snuggling slightly further into your girlfriend’s arms.

“Of course, babe, what is it?”

“You’re not going anywhere, are you? Like… You’re not going to leave, right?” 

It wasn’t often that you voiced such concerns, but after living out a scenario in your head that showed you the pain of living without your girlfriend, you realised you never, ever wanted that to happen in real life.

“Absolutely not, baby. I’m here for you forever.”

“Promise?”

“I promise.” Holding out her pinky finger, Tiffany interlocked it with your own, before pulling your hand to her lips to give it a gentle kiss.

Nodding against Tiffany’s chest, you spoke up once more. “Okay. I promise too. I love you so much.”

A yawn accompanied the end of your sentence, a clear sign that Tiffany’s cuddles truly always worked wonders in sending you to sleep.

“I love you too baby. Sleep tight.”

It was already midnight as I was walking down the avenue. My best friend birthday party just ended so I was already returning home. "Omg.. it’s so dark..it’s kinda scary though.. Y/n you better run." - I said to myself as I started to walk faster. Suddenly, it started to rain, strongly. - "Damn it!"- I cursed as I ran to the nearest balcony to shelter myself from the rain, it was and old building I’ve never seen before. "It doesn’t seem to be stopping any soon.."- I sight, closing my coat completely- "It’s so cold now..." I was there for quite a while, waiting for the rain to at least stop a little, I was quite near home already.

With my nose red as a tomato from the freezing temperature, my beanie and big scarf on, almost covering my all face, mist coming out from my mouth as I blew softly to my hands from time to time to keep them warm, that’s when I saw a woman approaching my direction.. She was walking quickly under the rain, completely covered by her dark long coat, I only could tell she was a woman because of her elegant heels and her petite figure. When she reached where I was, under the balcony, she took her cowl off exposing her face.

White as snow skin, plump glowing lips, long dark hair and light brown almost orange eyes.. She’s was too beautiful to be real.. I just stared at her as if I was spellbound, my heart pounding crazily when our eyes finally meet.. "Good evening~" – she said looking at me from head to toes. "Good evening, miss.." - I greeted her. Then the silence invaded the atmosphere.. It was awkward.. I was trying hard to think about a topic to talk with her.

"Are you.. lost? Do you know where you are? - her soft voice broke the silence as she looked at me with a strange face expression. "...I’m ok, when the rain decreases, I’ll just leave.. I live near by.. - I was shocked by her question. Does it look like I’m lost? I thought to myself. "Mm.. I see, but there is a problem in here though." - she said with a more serious voice. "What.. is it miss?" - I asked confused. She just keep quite as she walked closer and closer to me, not breaking the eye contact- "I don’t think the rain is going to let you go anytime soon.."- a grin appeared on her face.

She stopped in front of me, just a foot away and pulled my scarf down, reveling my face to her. She reminded in silence as she looked at me, it was as she was scanning me.. Her action surprised me at first.. also her hands were frozen.. "You see.. this Miss right here thought.. that you were going to be uglier from what I saw from afar.. but girl, you’ve got a face~" - she commented as she stepped back a little. I looked at her speechless.. She’s so rude I thought.. "Sorry tho, I didn’t meant it in a bad way.. I was just surprised that you look exacly like a porcelain doll.. as cute and frail as one."- she said with a soft smile, reveling all her pearly white teeth. I was freaking out, she is so pretty when she smiles.. and just now she was complementing me? Omg.. I don’t know what to do.. How can an ugly potato like me get a compliment from a mesmerizing girl like her..? My poor heart can’t take this situation properly...

I shyly thanked her as I covered my face again with my scarf, trying to hide my blushing cheeks. The rain suddenly stopped, that’s the moment Y/n, before it rains again. "Well, if you excuse me Miss.." – I bowed and turned around ready to leave quickly, but I felt a small pair of hands around my hips, making me just gasped and freeze. "Excuse me.. but can I ask for your name?"- she asked as she slowly let me go. "I’m Y/n.."- I answered quite surprised by the force her small body had. She smiled widely- "I’m Taeyeon, but you can call me Tae if you want~"

Her soft voice made echos in my head and gave me goosebumps going down my spine, the air around us became lighter than before. So her name is Tae.. it match her, a cute name for a cute girl.. "Well.. bye Tae.."- I waved at her with a shy smile. "Take care Y/n~ See you soon~"- she shouted  from behind, making me turn to give her another smile. I keep walking and when I was about to turn the corner I heard her saying something.

"And don’t walk this late at nights.."- she laughed- "You never know who or what you can meet this late.. something could happen to you.. "- I heart her giggle- "Someone could bit you, Y/n~" I turned around again to say goodbye, but when I looked where she was before.. now there was anyone or anything in there. She wasn’t there, neither the old building..

"What the actual f*ck?!"- I said out loud. What the hell.. the building was.. what? Did I walk too fast and already left it behind or what? I keep walking confused, turning around from time to time checking the streets. I finally got home and my little babygirl greeted me as always. "Hi sweety~"- I said to Mimi and she purred and scrubbed her body into my leg. "How’s my lil kitty? Did you miss me a lot?"- I petted her as I smiled, then Tae’s face came to my mind.

Taeyeon: Doesn’t say much. Mostly because she’s not sure how to word how she feels. Instead her eyes convey it all and she looks at you, with the most adoring gaze. She’s so cute that you can’t help but fix her bangs and she grabs your wrist, sliding her hand down to link fingers with you. She still says nothing, but you know.

Jessica: Has an overwhelming need to return the favour. She wants you to know that you too are loved and appreciated. So after dinner, she’ll make you her special hot chocolate and stick your favourite movie of all time on. Just a little something to show her love too.

Sunny: No matter how many times you cook for her, she’s always shocked and taken aback. There’s no limit to your love for her and it’s moments like these that she truly understands that. And feels so wonderfully overwhelmed by emotion.

“For me?! Yah! Stop being so cute or else I’ll die!!”

Also likes to take pictures, to document the moment. Not so much to show people and brag, but more so for her. She looks back on photos like these when she’s sad and suddenly, she’s happy again.

Tiffany: Feels so warm and loved and soft asdfghjkl she’s melting. It’s the only thing the girls are going to be hearing about for the next week. If the relationship is known, she’ll mention it if an interviewer asks, saying that little gestures like that make a relationship strong and loving but also lowkey shades u & calls ur potatoes burnt

Hyoyeon: Your relationship is very 50/50. If you’re tired, she will do the laundry or clean the dishes and if she’s tired, such as today, you cook for her or maybe massage her shoulders. So she’s not surprised to see the dinner but she’s still very appreciative and feels loved. It’s little gestures like that which remind her how hopelessly in love she is.

Yuri: Has cooked for you before and knows what it feels like, to anxiously watch your loved one taste your cooking, and wait for their response. So she makes sure to praise you and finish off all the food on the plate.

“It’s so good! Oh my gosh - What is that flavour? Did you buy new seasoning?”

Sooyoung: Things like this mean everything to her. There’s more ways to show love than through the typical flowers and chocolate routine. You cooking took time and effort and really showed you care.

“Do you see this, little guy? Your other Mommy made me dinner ~”

Yoona: Inwardly, feels a little burdened. She doesn’t want you to feel like you need to care for her, or for it to seem like all you do it give while she selfishly takes. While appreciative, she immediately starts formulating a way to pay you back.

“Thank you so much! Next week, I’ll cook you dinner.”

Seohyun: With swollen feet and tired eyes, she lumbered home, trying to decide if she should shower or eat first. Seeing the dinner you had laid out for her answered her dilemma.

“Is this for me?” Her voice is groggy and hoarse from singing but she would use the last of it to thank you without hesitation. “I love you so much, do you know that? More than the world and more than words can say.”
