From Reddit: Make your way to Jeonju to Taeyeon’s family optometry store, Eyebis. The gallery is the most amazing place for SONEs on Earth. You can spend an hour there in the little room just reminiscing flipping through the books. Tt’s a Taeyeon gallery but also SNSD gallery at the same time.. there are really really old fan-made books in there that you’d love. and sign in the guest book!
Also, you can get a quick exam and buy a quick pair of glasses. maybe you can bring your prescription too, I’m not sure. I just got a glasses case and cloth which was plenty :)
Jeonju is far from Seoul for a day trip so you’d either wanna stay the night or start early and leave late and give yourself time to explore the whole area and make the day count. they’re known for their traditional hanok village and PNB choco pies (souvenirs!)

SNSD’s Japanese debut was so financially successful that SM Entertainment shifted from exporting Korean albums to Japan to producing albums and releases specifically for the Japanese market. Girls’ Generation were extremely popular in Japan, and their Japanese expansion is cited as one of the most successful K-pop crossovers in history.
Before SNSD entered Japan, the market in Japan was the second-largest music market in the world. It was a closed and conservative arena toward foreign acts and very different from Korea in promotion style, fan culture, and media access.
In 2010, SM Entertainment positioned Girls' Generation in such a way that instead of debuting with original Japanese material, SNSD re-recorded Korean hits in Japanese.
Girls' Generation's appeal in Japan was due to their elegant, polished image, strong individual member recognition and their consistency and professionalism. Today, SNSD's longtime Japanese fans remain active through fan clubs.
