In my time studying philosophy, I read plenty essays on consciousness and introspection that either led to the conclusion that we’re all alone or that we can never truly know ourselves. While it may always be difficult to understand the state of your own being,I am no longer swayed by the notion that nobody but myself exists, and it saddens me that there are people who thought that our inability to introspect into our own minds sufficiently meant that nobody else but themselves exists. I know what it feels like to see through people as though they were a transparent object, clipping through the world that I was put in to exist against my will, but I never existed alone, because I met someone who was as real as I was, who whenever I looked at them it was opaque, embossed and there in the world, together, complex and similar, familiar and kind, been through the world, met at every edge of all possible worlds, gentle and a warm glow in the experiential field of objects and people. That’s how I knew that rejecting the notion that everything can be philosophised with the same sentiment as a science was the only way. There are some things that come to light and you realise just through existing, they become aware and appear in front of you in the form of an internal, intrinsic experience

it is nice to think that through loving someone, you could recognize them regardless of anything. there's a secret layer to them that even they themselves are blind to, and it's built to withstand time because it's the foundation of every change
