All Snape-Defenders so far have been unable to in any way explain/justify that part of him. When confronted with that, they flee into weak whataboutism like "but other were bad too". Yes, the Marauders and even other teachers had bad moments/ times too. THATS NOT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT. This is about your "always, Snape my love" bullshit, don't hide behind other character's flaws.
