I find it funny because I know it's the opposite for a lot of people but my mum never let me learn piano (had to learn guitar) because, and I quote: "it's a stupid instrumentโ nobody carries a piano around with them" ๐ญ
#sorry for the sheer amount of these posts#unfortunately I have an incurable life-long case of nostalgia#so it definitely will happen again#if I ever have enough disposable income I'll probaby learn piano. I mean it's been like... 10 years ? since I first wanted to#so I sincerely doubt it'd be a waste of time or money#I'll add: Didn't allow me despite it being the instrument I was interested in#and even after my music teacher sent her an email suggesting it because I picked it up pretty naturally and offered 1/2 the tutoring fee#like she was DEAD against it#in retrospect i think it was more an excuse for them to live vicariously through me by trying to turn me into some guitar prodigy despite#the fact I only tolerate the instrument even after a decade of them pouring funds into it lmfao#Don't get me wrongโ I *love* listening to it and playing *is* fun enough. But I would never have actively gone outta my way to learn it#snailshit
