Smokepunk
Alright so one day I woke up and thought "What if steampunk but evil?" Hear me out.
Instead of brown its monochrome, instead of steam its smoke from all the pollution. Instead of analog clocks its all digital and it'd have an all around more D.I.Y feel to it rather than the sorta clean style of steampunk.
Wires? Everywhere
Buzzsaws? fuck yeah, they'd probably be the pinnacle of style.
Lingo? 1960s. "Greaser" would be a lot more literal for some reason
Mood? Pretty sad, actually. Not grimdark, its still like hopecore.
Human rights? A big maybe.
I do think this would keep a lot of the whimsicality though.
